What is the Dallas Margarita Ball?
This year the Dallas Margarita Society/Dallas Children’s Charities will host the 36th annual Margarita Ball. It is the largest black tie charity event in the world and has one of the largest silent auctions in the country. With 11,000+ guests, donating to the silent auction or being a sponsor is cheaper than advertising to reach that demographic, and it is a tax write-off to the extent allowed by law since it is a 501c3 charity organization. Silent auction donations can be items or gift certificates for items or services, and can provide excellent exposure to guests who may live in the same area but aren’t yet familiar with the business.
The Margarita Ball is looking for sponsors to put on this amazing event. The sponsor packages start at $500 and come with Ball invitations, VIP access, drink tokens, signage at the event, and being listed on the organization’s website as a sponsor. The main differences in sponsor packages are the number of invitations and drink tokens, but a big difference is with the packages that include invitations to the Director’s luncheon the afternoon of the Ball, and invitations to the black tie Sponsor Appreciation Dinner held in the summer. The sponsor appreciation dinner is a tuxedo event with dinner, live band, and open bar with an opportunity for sponsors to meet other sponsors and DMS directors and members to hopefully establish new personal and business relationships. Last year’s location was The Tower Club, and the year before the Sponsor Appreciation Dinner was held in Las Colinas at the La Cima Club with the glass walls overlooking the Dallas skyline.
If you know of anyone who may be interested in being a sponsor or donating to the silent auction, please pass the information along and have them contact Lance White if they have any questions at all. Lance can be contacted at lancewhitedms@gmail.com for any questions.
Thank you for supporting Dallas Children’s Charities!
