When it comes to trying new nail salons, I’m not a fan. Once I find a good salon, I stay there. I don’t jump around. One of the reasons is that you never know what you’re going to get at a new salon. Nothing is worse than getting your nails done by someone who should have never received their cosmetology license. You know, when they cut your cuticles wrong, accidently clip your skin, rub your feet raw, or file your nails slanted. Yep, it’s annoying and you can’t do anything about it.
When I was asked by a friend to check out Pampered Soles, I was hesitant. After doing a little bit of cyber stalking and researching, I decided to give it a go after reading multiple reviews of happy customers.
I made my appointment for 1pm on a Wednesday. I was 15 minutes late to my appointment and the owner kindly rushed me in to get my pedicure started. Choosing my nail polish wasn’t easy because I’ve never seen a salon have such a variety of not only colors but brands. You could chose from brands such as OPI, Chanel, YSL, Dior and Essie. If there is a certain color you want, they have it.
Unlike most nail salons, Pampered Soles stations were individual recliners and not seats attached the usual jet tubs. The plastic lined bowls that your feet soaked in seemed much more sanitary than the usual jets that pedicures are performed. This was a nice change of pace. The man doing my pedicure was very professional and used my name multiple times. I noticed that every customer that came in, each employee would address them by their name. After the 10th customer came in, I was completely surprised by the employee’s memory. How in the world do they do that?
My hour long pedicure was nothing but peaceful and relaxing. Pampered Soles was a quiet atmosphere with Norah Jones playing in the background. There were many walk in customers who were wanting either a manicure or pedicure but were turned away because Pampered Soles was booked for the day. My suggestion would be to call a few days in advance to make sure you are guaranteed the time and date that you need.
Like their name states, Pampered Soles really does pamper you. Give them a chance and you won’t be disappointed. Be sure to bring cash or check, because they do not accept cards!
