A Weekend in Miami with #BriskBodega

Blog· Food and Drinks· Travel

What does Brisk know how to do? They know how to have a good time!

I flew out to Miami to hang with some of the best bloggers in the country and to live the Brisk culture. Not only was I pleasantly surprised, Brisk made me a lifetime customer. We arrived in Miami and went straight to the hotel. We stayed at the ever to popular, Loews Hotel. They are slowly but surely becoming one of my favorite hotel chains. We left the freezing cold weather in Dallas and arrived in Sunny Miami where the temperatures didn’t drop below 70 degrees the whole time we were there. This is the view from my hotel room – not to bad, huh?

The oh-so-popular DJ Irie was our host for the weekend. He set up our itinerary to experience the hottest spots that Miami has to offer. Our first night in Miami, we had a private party at the Soho Beach House penthouse. While we were there, we got acquainted with other bloggers from across the country. Chicago Hustles Magazine, Bossip and Karen Civil were a few of the bloggers in attendance. The SOHO Beach House was so pretty and had great views of the beach and the city.

The next day we had an amazing party bus that took us around town all day. Not just any old party bus, but a party bus that had a pole, fog machine and all the Brisk you could ever want. We took a tour around the city and ended up at The Rusty Pelican for brunch with DJ Irie. The view was absolutely breath taking.

We drank bottomless mimosas and enjoyed each other’s company. I loved getting to know DJ Irie, he was such a down to Earth guy and super easy to converse with. If you’re trying to figure out where you know DJ Irie from, let me give you a little recap. DJ Irie is the official DJ of The Miami Heat and the “unofficial Mayor of Miami.” He is at the hottest parties, events and more throughout the whole country. If you haven’t checked him out, I would highly recommend it!

Did I mention that we had bottomless mimosas at The Rusty Pelican? This waterfront restaurant is known for their amazing views and delicious foods. You could waste your day away staring out at the view of Downtown Miami and all the beautiful people riding their boats on the water. After brunch, I took the few short hours of free time that I had in Miami to spend it at the beach.

After a quick dip in the ocean, we were on our way to the American Airline Arena to see Macklemore. His concert was amazing and I learned that he was a completely sober artist, which made me respect him so much more than I already did. The Macklemore concert was a great addition to our weekend because Brisk Bodega is all about culture and music. If I could sum up the Brisk brand in one word it would be FUN. The brand is genius and after getting to spend a weekend with the minds behind the brand, I know why it is such a success. This group of individuals get it, the know how to bring life to a brand, and how to share fun experiences with others through Brisk.

At the Macklemore concert, we had some of the best tasting cocktails that used Brisk as the mixer.  These are the three amazing drinks that you must try at your next party.

There is a little something for everybody. My favorite drink was #TurntUpTea. The raspberry Brisk and Vodka paired perfectly together. After the concert and a few amazing Brisk drinks, we went the ever so popular night club, LIV Miami.  If you want to party in Miami, this the place to go. We ventured to LIV on a Sunday night and the crowd was pretty good. Once it turned 1 am, the whole club became packed. The flood gates opened and people were rushing in from every direction.

We got to end the night partying with DJ Irie. He helped form our whole itinerary for a short weekend in Miami. He did an amazing job of showing up what Miami is all about from the food to the beach to the night life scene. Unfortunately, all things come to an end. We ended our trip to Miami sipping a Brisk on the balcony while taking in one last view of the beautiful scenery before heading home.

After spending time in this nasty Texas weather, I’ve been dreaming about being back in Miami with the Brisk crew. Until then, I’ll sip Brisk in my office and day dream. What are your favorite Brisk drinks?

Well that sure would have been an awesome getaway from our weather here the last couple of weeks! I've never been to Miami before, sounds like it's a fun place to visit. I've not yet seen that branding of the Brisk cans before yet, I love the size!

I have never tried Brisk – but I sure want to now. I'm tired of hot drinks (and this cold cold Texas weather)! 🙂

One of my favorite things about 2020.... businesse One of my favorite things about 2020.... businesses adapting and making things work! I was recently introduced to @savageburritos and I'm in love. Savage Burritos is the love child of Uncle Julios so it you like UJ, you'll love Savage. They are a delivery only service offering burritos and bowls from select Uncle Julio kitchens in DFW. I know this year has dragged on and on for many pe I know this year has dragged on and on for many people but it has flown by to me. I'm 100% sure it has something to do with welcoming Myles into this world during the height of a pandemic and keeping a toddler alive at the same time. I can't wait for Christmas morning to make memories with my little family (even though Christmas shopping isn't complete and I haven't even thought about wrapping presents). It will all fall in to place, it always does. We didn't attend our favorite Christmas events this year or get pictures with Santa so this random Santa picture will do and I'm 100% happy with it. If this year has taught you anything, let it be finding the joy in the little things ❤
The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Althoug The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Although things might be a bit different this season, we're still enjoying some of our favorite foods and traditions. This year we're incorporating ordering family meal kits from @chuysrestaurant for not only my family but extended family that we might not be able to hang with this holiday. It's a simple way to spread the joy with loved ones, eat delicious food and not forget the reason for the season. #ad #nachoaverageholiday
Family pictures are always so much fun.... this ye Family pictures are always so much fun.... this year we got to attempt it twice thanks to sweet Bryce. Thankfully the second time around he cooperated. As painful as they may be, I'm so glad we get these done every year. I love looking back at them and see how much we've all changed and how much the kids have grown!
Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We got our family pictures back and they look great other than the fact that Bryce decided not to participate. We got one shot with my entire family and Bryce is off to the side playing in poison ivy. 🤦‍♀️
