It’s that time of year again – time for ALL THINGS CANDY CORN! Caramel apples are one of my favorite treats to eat since they’re so easy to make and everybody loves them. I figured it would be so simple and festive to add some candy corn to the mix.
If you’re like me, you won’t have to leave the house because the ingredients are already in your pantry. I stock up on all baking goods and anything related to Fall during this time of year! Ready to get started? Let’s make some Candy Corn Caramel Apples!
Ingredients:
6 Granny Smith Apples
1 Bucket of Caramel Sauce
1 Bag of Candy Corn
6 Wooden Sticks
Wax Paper
Directions:
Remove the stems from the apples and place the apples in the refrigerator for 4 hours (or more) you want the apples nice and cold.
Once the apples are chilled cover a cookie sheet with wax paper.
Insert a wooden stick into the bottom of each apple.
Microwave the caramel sauce for 1 to 2 minutes, make sure to stir the caramel well.
Once your caramel sauce is melted, dip and roll each apple into the sauce, ensuring that the apple is well coated. Do one apple at a time and be sure to hold the apple over the caramel container to catch any runoff.
Place your caramel apple on your cookie sheet, let the caramel sit for about a minute and then start placing your candy corn on your apple.
Once all your apples are coated place the cookie sheet in the refrigerator for 1-hour to allow the caramel to get firm. Then enjoy 🙂
