Everybody is buzzing about Dallas Food Trucks. Many of the food trucks make the same rounds each week but their schedules vary. It’s hard to decide which one to try when there are so many in the Dallas Fort Worth area, so we have compiled a list for you.
Here’s the breakdown of the Dallas / Forth Worth Food Trucks and what that they offer:
Gandolfo’s: The menu at the deli includes an extensive list of breakfast sandwiches and bagels, with specialty cream cheeses, for the early-morning crowd. Sandwiches are made on fresh bread that is baked on site each morning and include turkey, chicken breast, ham, roast beef, pastrami, corned beef as well as vegetarian options and Nathan’s brand hot dogs. Find them on Facebook.
American / Cajun:
Rockn’ Rick’s: Between burgers, gumbo, and po boys this food truck is full of good old Cajun flavor. They also serve a fresh salad so you can squeeze your veggies in too.
Jack’s Chowhound: The menu is heavy on hearty, hangover-curing items (pepperoni, marinara sauce, and cheese fried in an egg roll wrap; pulled pork and Gouda grilled cheese with barbecue sauce; steak sammies with aged cheddar and horseradish mayo), but there is a portobello burger with Swiss, spicy mayo, grilled onions, and sprouts. Prices are light at just $5 to $9, including hand-cut fries or Kettle chips. Find them on Facebook and Twitter.
Italian:
Gennarino’s: An authentic Neapolitan-style Friggitoria run by three brothers from Naples, Italy. Come and enjoy all of the great Italian flavors that you love in ways that you’ve never seen them. Find them on Facebook and Twitter.

Asian:
Nammi: A Vietnamese Fusion Truck serving up banh mi, vietnamese tacos, spring rolls and much more to the DFW metroplex. No, they are not trying to reinvent banh mi or Vietnamese Cuisine. SsahmBBQ: Like Ssahm’s korean bbq brethren in other cities, the menu includes kalbi (bbq beef short ribs), ddak (chicken), daeji (spicy pork) and dubu (tofu), which become $3 tacos when wrapped inside a doubled-up corn tortilla stuffed with kimchi, cilantro, onions, red or green salsa and a sesame soy vinaigrette. John E. says
I’ve had food trucks at all the events I’ve organized since 2010. The taco truck catering vendors always tell me that they sell a lot of food, more compared to other food trucks.
I’m not sure if they’re more honest or if other caterers are more modest, or vice-versa but I have noticed longer lines at the taco trucks.
I really like the food at Tacos Heads and I’ve also tried the lobster at Cousins, it’s better than I expected.
