Charging up its extensive eco-friendly amenities, Kimpton’s Hotel Palomar Dallas is now offering electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, designating it as the first Texas hotel to partner with The EV Project, the largest electric transportation project in history. As part of the program, ECOtality, Inc installed two of its BlinkÒ Pedestal EV charging stations (240 volt AC input) this month, ready for use by locals and guests, along with celebratory deals from Hotel Palomar Dallas and adjacent Central 214, a Kimpton restaurant. The timely installation of the hotel’s Blink charging stations builds on The EV Project’s momentum as the Blink Network expands throughout Texas and partner car manufacturers introduce new EV models to the market.
Starting now through early 2012, Hotel Palomar Dallas is providing free public access to the Blink charging stations via the hotel’s valet. EV drivers can receive a complimentary “charge” while they stay or dine, and enjoy special discounts, including:
