Green Leafy Salads for Meat & Seafood Lovers

Blog· Food and Drinks

While I love eating salads, it’s hard to get my meat loving husband on board. He doesn’t mind eating salads but will always order a side of protein every single time. While that is perfectly fine, I wanted to find a happy medium for the both of us.

I started researching recipes and found so many great ones that are packed full of seafood and meat or all kinds. I’ve been adding them to my weekly meals and have had a great response. We are still eating healthy and getting added nutrition with the protein that we’ve added in.

We love fajitas here in Texas, but this salad from I Heart Naptime is my new obsession. Her EASY Fajita Salad is more filling, and I feel a lot less guilty when I’m looking at a plate full of salad versus the plate full of fajitas! If you’re watching your diet, slim down this beautiful meal by reducing the avocado slices to one or two, skip the crushed tortilla chips, and add a little romaine or curly lettuce. Find your next favorite salad—–>HERE.

Is there a better way to eat shrimp than in a salad? I’m not sure. I think I could eat shrimp almost every way, but I truly can’t resist it in a salad with my favorite dressing drizzled across it! Peas & Crayons is a recipe genius with her Shrimp Panzanella Spinach Salad! She makes me want to buy ciabatta bread and forget about it on purpose, just so I can make these rustic looking croutons! Read how she turned leftovers into this stunning salad—–>HERE.

Do you know how to make two hamburgers feed a family of four? You guessed it – salad! Michelle at My Gluten-Free Kitchen is a smart cookie. She had a mid-week hamburger meal planned, but discovered she was low on hamburgers. To improvise, she created this hearty salad. Smart, right? Not only is her {Gluten-free} Bacon Blue Cheese Burger Salad a mid-week meal success, but it’s a salad I think I would crave! I can see me begging my husband to grill me a burger, just so I can crumble it up for this salad! Visit Michelle to grab this crave-worthy salad—–>HERE.
