Holiday Inn Express Food Truck Takes Selfies to a New Level

Blog· Entertainment

This post brought to you by Holiday Inn Express. The content and opinions expressed below are that of The Dallas Socials.

This past week I was introduced to the Holiday Inn Express #PancakeSelfie Food Truck. I absolutely love food trucks so I couldn’t wait to see what it was all about. I was also intrigued by the pancake selfie. What in the world is a pancake selfie? At first, I thought that Holiday Inn Express was giving out pancakes and asking people to take a selfie with it. I have no issues with taking a selfie for a free pancake but what I found at the Holiday Inn Express Food Truck was something more magical.

Holiday Inn Express Pancake Selfie Food TruckUpon arriving, I quickly realized that the Holiday Inn Express Pancake Selfie truck was something much better.  I was given an iPhone to take a selfie and within 20 seconds, the picture I took was captured on a nearby computer. A Holiday Inn Express worker, showed me the picture and made sure I thought it was acceptable. Once I approved, he told me I could head to the Pancake truck for my pancake. Then the greatest thing ever happened, I was handed a pancake with a picture of my face on it! How cool is that? Holiday Inn Express Pancake SelfieIs this not the coolest thing you’ve seen? Another great feature the pancake food truck had was lots of pancake machines that made a pancake in one minute flat. All you had to do was press the button and before you know it, you have a pancake ready to eat.Holiday Inn Express Pancakes

Want to check out the Selfie Truck in full action? Check out the full schedule below.

  • Dallas – Pegasus Plaza – 9/2-9/4 – 9am-2pm (Wednesday, 9/2 will be 9:30am-2pm)
  • Austin – The Domain – 9/6-9/7- 10am-3pm
  • Phoenix – Tempe Marketplace – 9/11-9/14 – 11am-4pm

If you missed the Holiday Inn Express Pancake Selfie Truck, don’t worry. The next time you’re at Holiday Inn Express, stop by their breakfast bar and witness it for yourself.  The pancake maker allows you to control the quantity, size, and how brown you want it. Not only do they taste delicious, the smell of freshly made pancakes is one of my favorite!

Did you get your face on a pancake when it was in town? Send us a picture!

One of my favorite things about 2020.... businesse One of my favorite things about 2020.... businesses adapting and making things work! I was recently introduced to @savageburritos and I'm in love. Savage Burritos is the love child of Uncle Julios so it you like UJ, you'll love Savage. They are a delivery only service offering burritos and bowls from select Uncle Julio kitchens in DFW. We ordered a variety of items from burritos, bowls, queso and more. Every single item was bursting with flavor. If you like spicy, I highly recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken Burrito. 🔥 Don't forget to add on a Margarita pop - nothing beats alcohol and Mexican food delivered straight to your door!

Order directly from their site your from your favorite delivery service!
I know this year has dragged on and on for many pe I know this year has dragged on and on for many people but it has flown by to me. I'm 100% sure it has something to do with welcoming Myles into this world during the height of a pandemic and keeping a toddler alive at the same time. I can't wait for Christmas morning to make memories with my little family (even though Christmas shopping isn't complete and I haven't even thought about wrapping presents). It will all fall in to place, it always does. We didn't attend our favorite Christmas events this year or get pictures with Santa so this random Santa picture will do and I'm 100% happy with it. If this year has taught you anything, let it be finding the joy in the little things ❤
The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Althoug The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Although things might be a bit different this season, we're still enjoying some of our favorite foods and traditions. This year we're incorporating ordering family meal kits from @chuysrestaurant for not only my family but extended family that we might not be able to hang with this holiday. It's a simple way to spread the joy with loved ones, eat delicious food and not forget the reason for the season. #ad #nachoaverageholiday
Family pictures are always so much fun.... this ye Family pictures are always so much fun.... this year we got to attempt it twice thanks to sweet Bryce. Thankfully the second time around he cooperated. As painful as they may be, I'm so glad we get these done every year. I love looking back at them and see how much we've all changed and how much the kids have grown!
Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We got our family pictures back and they look great other than the fact that Bryce decided not to participate. We got one shot with my entire family and Bryce is off to the side playing in poison ivy. 🤦‍♀️

This weekend we ventured to @kidzaniausa, a city r This weekend we ventured to @kidzaniausa, a city ran completely by kids. Your child gets to fully immerse themselves into role playing any job they can imagine. From checking animals at the veterinarian, putting out fires as a firefighter, flying planes in an simulator, creating their own personal logo with Bic, or being a weatherman at WFAA - the options are endless! Kidzania activities are for ages 4 and up.

We felt very comfortable inside with their safety protocols. Temperatures were checked before entering. Everybody ages 4 and up must wear a mask. Hand sanitizer was readily available throughout the entire space. If you're looking for a fun outlet for your child to explore, check it out!
