Homemade Nespresso Chocolate Caramel Frappuccino

Blog· Food and Drinks

There are some afternoons that I need something to give me a boost of energy. Heading to a local coffee shop isn’t always the answer. Not only does it gt expensive but I don’t always have the time to leave my house to go buy coffee. One thing that I do during the day to help give me that extra boost is head straight to my kitchen and make my own coffee recipes with my Nespresso Vertuoline, also known as the best coffee machine ever.

Since the weather is getting warm  hot here in Texas, I knew I wanted to make an iced coffee drink so after a few experiments I came up with the best coffee recipe ever – the Nespresso Chocolate Caramel Frappuccino. It was good, I had to share it with everyone!

This recipe only took me about 4 minutes and cost me MUCH less than any local shop would charge. I started by making a Caramelizio in my Vertuoline. The Caramelizio is the first permanent large-cup coffee addition to the VertuoLine Grands Crus Range. Caramel is a very popular coffee flavor so I’m so excited Nespresso has added this to their line. It has an intensity of six on the Nespresso scale of one to twelve.

Before I made my Caramelizio, I added about 1.5 tablespoons of Ghiradelli ground chocolate and 1 tablespoon of milk to the bottom of my coffee cup so they would mix well with the coffee. The coffee literally took about a minute to brew. If it wasn’t so hot outside, I would have drank it just like that without turning it into a frap.

Nespresso Caramelizio with ChocolateAfter making the coffee, I split the coffee into two cups. I used my ninja blender and added one part of the coffee to the blender and approximately 1 cup of ice. The only reason I split the coffee into two is because I like my fraps with lots of ice. If you like your fraps strong, then use the whole cup of brewed coffee.

I blended the ice and coffee mix for about 30 seconds. While the mixture was blending, I lined my glass with chocolate syrup (because you can never have too much chocolate). Once the mixture was finished being blended, I poured it into the glass and topped with whip cream.Homemade Chocolate Caramel Frappuccino

If you’re looking for great glasses for coffee, check out Nespresso’s line of cups. They are our absolute FAVORITE for both hot and cold drinks.  If you’re looking for a great coffee machine to your house, check out the Vertuoline. The amount of drinks you can make with it is endless. If you want to learn more about it, head to a Nespresso store near you!
