Homemade Orange Dreamsicle Moonshine

Blog· Food and Drinks

One of my favorite things to do in the Summer is to experiment making all sorts of different drinks. I love trying new drinks specifically drinks on the sweet side. The more I experiment and ‘play around’ with my drinks, the more I wonder how many years I wasted drinking boring drinks. Since it’s extremely hot outside, I thought it would be the perfect time to make a drink that I could sip outside by the pool.

After playing around for a bit and tweaking my recipe, I’ve finally perfected my recipe for Orange Dreamsicle Moonshine. Recipes that require special ingredients drive me crazy so I like to make drinks that are simple.  My recipe only requires a hand full of ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen. Like any good moonshine, my recipe requires some sitting time. I like to make mine and let it sit for about a week. Sure, sometimes you want moonshine right this second, but I’ve learned if you always have a batch waiting for you then you have nothing to worry about.

Let’s get to the recipe.

Orange Dreamsicle Moonshine recipe

Homemade Orange Dreamsicle Moonshine

Ingredients

  • 1/8 cup French Vanilla Coffee Creamer
  • 4 Cups Orange Juice
  • 1/2 Cups White Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Cup Everclear®

Directions

Mix together the orange juice, vanilla extract, sugar and coffee creamer in a medium size pot. Bring to a boil while you are mixing. Boil for approximately 3-5 minutes. Make sure all ingredients are mixed together well. Once ingredients are mixed, take off of stove and let cool. Once cool add Everclear® and mix. Bottle the moonshine into mason jars.

Did you notice my secret ingredient? If you guessed Everclear®, then you’re correct! I’ve started to use it in most of my recipes because its neutral flavor profile gives you a clean slate to infuse and transform however you’d like. Whether you’re making bitters or limoncello, Everclear® is the perfect liquor to use. It’s one drink that I make sure to always keep in stock not only to make sophisticated drinks, but it’s a liquor that I know all my guests enjoy. Homemade Orange Dreamsicle Moonshine

Everclear® is the perfect ingredient for craft cocktails and home mixology, allowing you to put your own spin on new and old favorites. With its neutral grain composition, Everclear® extracts the optimal flavor to infuse your cocktails — whether you’re making bitters, liqueurs, tinctures or extracts. Visit makeityourown.com for recipe ideas, tips and more!

What’s your favorite sophisticated drink to make at home?

This post was brought to you by Everclear®, the “original” grain alcohol, and Luxco. I received compensation to write this post. The opinions and text are all mine.

I know this year has dragged on and on for many pe I know this year has dragged on and on for many people but it has flown by to me. I'm 100% sure it has something to do with welcoming Myles into this world during the height of a pandemic and keeping a toddler alive at the same time. I can't wait for Christmas morning to make memories with my little family (even though Christmas shopping isn't complete and I haven't even thought about wrapping presents). It will all fall in to place, it always does. We didn't attend our favorite Christmas events this year or get pictures with Santa so this random Santa picture will do and I'm 100% happy with it. If this year has taught you anything, let it be finding the joy in the little things ❤
The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Althoug The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Although things might be a bit different this season, we're still enjoying some of our favorite foods and traditions. This year we're incorporating ordering family meal kits from @chuysrestaurant for not only my family but extended family that we might not be able to hang with this holiday. It's a simple way to spread the joy with loved ones, eat delicious food and not forget the reason for the season. #ad #nachoaverageholiday
Family pictures are always so much fun.... this ye Family pictures are always so much fun.... this year we got to attempt it twice thanks to sweet Bryce. Thankfully the second time around he cooperated. As painful as they may be, I'm so glad we get these done every year. I love looking back at them and see how much we've all changed and how much the kids have grown!
Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We got our family pictures back and they look great other than the fact that Bryce decided not to participate. We got one shot with my entire family and Bryce is off to the side playing in poison ivy. 🤦‍♀️
