Marriott Rewards Year of Surprises

Blog· Entertainment

I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Millennial Central for Marriott Rewards. I received Marriott Points to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

I have a love for surprise parties. I feel like surprise parties might be the most fun parties that ever existed. I see it as a time to recognize someone and celebrate their greatness, whether it be for their birthday, a big milestone in their life or just a party to say “Hey, we appreciate YOU.”

I’ve thrown many surprise parties and once someone even threw one for me. It was so memorable and a time I will never forget. One surprise party that I threw was for my friend Kate’s birthday. She knew that we were going out that night but she had no idea that I would have all of our closest friends waiting at my apartment to surprise her.  I caught the expression on her face as she arrived.

Surprise Party Expression!

Isn’t that priceless? That was a night to remember. It was so much fun to not just celebrate her birthday but to see all the time and energy spent to plan her party to be a complete success. She was happy and loved it, which meant the world to me!

You have the opportunity to give a surprise party to someone who deserves it with Marriott Rewards®. They are celebrating their 30th Anniversary with a YEAR of surprises. I am more than excited about this campaign they are hosting because anyone can nominate a loved one!  Do you have someone in mind that you would like to nominate? Please be sure not to reveal who they are in your post because if you happen to win, it has to be a complete surprise!

To enter, you dont have to be a Marriott Rewards member but if your nominee gets chosen, you will both have to register. Why not create one now and not have to worry about it later?  Create your account at Marriott.com/Rewards then head over to YearOfSurprises.com. You’ll be able to nominate anyone that you think deserves a surprise, maybe your mom who is celebrating a BIG birthday or your friend who is graduating. No matter what the occasion, if you think they are deserving of a surprise party, then nominate them!

The first round of nominations for Year of Surprises takes place February 1 to February 28. Nominations will be reviewed based on creativity/uniqueness of entry, overall appeal of nomination essay, and feasibility of the surprise party. Three winners will be awarded and announced in March and parties will be scheduled each month throughout the year. There will be a total of three nomination periods throughout 2014. The second nomination period is during the month of May, and the third is during the month of August. Limit one (1) entry per person/email address per nomination period. My motto is to enter many contests because you can’t win if you don’t enter.

Tell me who you would nominate and why!

What a fun idea! We have been Marriot Rewards members for years and love collecting and using our points. Now I am going to have to think about who would be a good fit for this and nominate.

What a great way to surprise someone! I love that Marriott is doing this! We haven’t been a Rewards member before (I didn’t realize how many of the places we stay are under their corporate umbrella (TownPlace, Courtyard, SpringHill, etc)), so it’s definitely something we’ll benefit from – Thanks!

One of my favorite things about 2020.... businesse One of my favorite things about 2020.... businesses adapting and making things work! I was recently introduced to @savageburritos and I'm in love. Savage Burritos is the love child of Uncle Julios so it you like UJ, you'll love Savage. They are a delivery only service offering burritos and bowls from select Uncle Julio kitchens in DFW. We ordered a variety of items from burritos, bowls, queso and more. Every single item was bursting with flavor. If you like spicy, I highly recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken Burrito. 🔥 Don't forget to add on a Margarita pop - nothing beats alcohol and Mexican food delivered straight to your door!

Order directly from their site your from your favorite delivery service!
I know this year has dragged on and on for many pe I know this year has dragged on and on for many people but it has flown by to me. I'm 100% sure it has something to do with welcoming Myles into this world during the height of a pandemic and keeping a toddler alive at the same time. I can't wait for Christmas morning to make memories with my little family (even though Christmas shopping isn't complete and I haven't even thought about wrapping presents). It will all fall in to place, it always does. We didn't attend our favorite Christmas events this year or get pictures with Santa so this random Santa picture will do and I'm 100% happy with it. If this year has taught you anything, let it be finding the joy in the little things ❤
The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Althoug The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Although things might be a bit different this season, we're still enjoying some of our favorite foods and traditions. This year we're incorporating ordering family meal kits from @chuysrestaurant for not only my family but extended family that we might not be able to hang with this holiday. It's a simple way to spread the joy with loved ones, eat delicious food and not forget the reason for the season. #ad #nachoaverageholiday
Family pictures are always so much fun.... this ye Family pictures are always so much fun.... this year we got to attempt it twice thanks to sweet Bryce. Thankfully the second time around he cooperated. As painful as they may be, I'm so glad we get these done every year. I love looking back at them and see how much we've all changed and how much the kids have grown!
Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We got our family pictures back and they look great other than the fact that Bryce decided not to participate. We got one shot with my entire family and Bryce is off to the side playing in poison ivy. 🤦‍♀️

Your child gets to fully immerse themselves into role playing any job they can imagine. From checking animals at the veterinarian, putting out fires as a firefighter, flying planes in an simulator, creating their own personal logo with Bic, or being a weatherman at WFAA - the options are endless! Kidzania activities are for ages 4 and up.

We felt very comfortable inside with their safety protocols. Temperatures were checked before entering. Everybody ages 4 and up must wear a mask. Hand sanitizer was readily available throughout the entire space. If you're looking for a fun outlet for your child to explore, check it out!
