When I heard that the Perot Museum was having Animal Inside (a Body World Production) be one of their traveling exhibits, I was stoked. A few years ago, when the museum was still located at Fair Park they had the Body World exhibit which was mind boggling. The Body World exhibit allowed us look inside of a human, see how we function and learn about how certain toxins in our body affect us. I remember staring at the bodies completely amazed, it was a bit surreal because I never stop to think about how my body functions and it was presented in front of me. Our bodies are pieces of work, that’s for sure!
I got to attend a sneak peek of the Animal Inside Out exhibit and I was completely impressed. I knew the exhibit would be amazing but wasn’t sure if I would be blown away like I did at the Body World exhibit a few years ago. The animals were positioned in ways that you could see every inch of their body. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the Animals Inside Out sneak peek.
Most of the animals were NOT in cases so you could really get up close and take a look at their insides. They do have a few cases that compare the different size of animal’s brains and hearts with side by side organs. It was an amazing experience and it’s fun to learn about different animals. No animals were killed or harmed for this exhibit.
