Thanks to Wolf Brand Chili for sponsoring my post today. All opinions are my own.
I’ve been on a mission to make things easier on my self. I noticed that I was getting stressed over the smallest things and I had no reason to be! I realized that I was stressing my self out and I just needed to readjust my schedule a bit. Readjusting my schedule means learning to manage my time better, getting on a better schedule and start enjoying the little things more.
One thing that is always a top priority for me is making my work week nights more efficient. By the time I stop working around 4:30-5pm and get a few minutes to myself, it’s already 6pm. I cook every night, so if I start dinner at 6pm, dinner isn’t ready until 7pm. By the time we finish eating, it’s already 8pm and time to get ready for the next day. That’s not how I want to spend my weeknights, first off – how boring! I have no kids and no excuse to not be more active after work.
I’ve been on the search for great recipes that don’t take too much time out of my night. I recently made a Texas Two Step Chili Pasta Bake that I had to share. Not only was it delicious, but it took no time to make which means I was able to have extra free time after my work day. Happy Dance!
I started by making sure that I had all ingredients needed. Lucky for me all I needed were three items; Wolf® Brand Chili, Pasta, and Cheese. No joke – that’s all the ingredients you will need. If you want to spice up your meal a bit, you can add chopped red onions and/or green onions. I boiled 1/2 pound of penne pasta until it was al dente. It took approximately 20 minutes. The best thing about cooking pasta is that you’re able to leave it on the stove while you do other things around the house (like relax). Once I cooked the pasta, I opened my Wolf® Brand Chili and mixed it a little bit of it in at a time. I’m still amazed that all I needed was one small can of Wolf® Brand Chili for this whole recipe. It has a deliciously bold and flavorful flavor that delivers authentic Texas-style seasonings to all chili lovers.
I didn’t add all of the pasta to begin with. I just spooned a small amount in and mixed a few tablespoons of the chili then added a bit of cheese and kept repeating the process until I had mixed all of the noodles, 1 can of Wolf® Chili and approximately 1/2 cup of cheese. Once it’s all mixed, I tossed it in a small casserole dish and topped with approximately 1/4 cup of cheese. Did you know Wolf® Brand Chili started in Texas and they only make chili? Which is one of the main reasons they are our go-to Chili products, they are experts in the chili making business.
Bake in the over for approximately 15 minutes at 350 degrees and you had the easiest dinner you’ll make all week.
It was a crowd pleaser at my house and it’s definitely a recipe that we will be eating again and again. It took a total of 35 minutes from start to finish. Another added bonus was that it didn’t require a lot of dishes!
If you’re looking for a great weekday dinner that you’re able to throw together and cook in no time, this is a recipe that you must try.

That’s so similar to our frito pie recipe that it’s awesome. We also do it layered with corn tortillas, rotel and cheese, but baked like lasagna. 🙂

Yes for quick and fast! Are you pinning them to a board on Pinterest that is quick and fast? sure would take the work out of finding them to follow you!
I make something similar. I use small or medium shells for the pasta and put chili on top. Then sprinkle Parmesan and cheddar cheese with onions. Sometimes I top with sliced jalapenos or banana peppers.
I cook angel hair pasta and put with the Wolf chili and parmesan cheese. I have done this for years because I really like it, but not sure who first told me about it. I will try the other way – sounds delicious.
