Do you have a list of foods that you would love to cook at home but you either don’t know how or you aren’t comfortable with your cooking skills to give it a try? Although I cook at home every single night and feel like I’m a decent cook, there are a couple of foods that I don’t even attempt to cook. One of the foods that I don’t cook in my house is pork loin. There is something about it that intimidates me. Maybe it’s because I’m terrified that it won’t be cooked to the perfect temperature or that it won’t turn out as good as the meals I’m used to cooking. All of those fears stop now because of Tyson Tastemakers Meal Kits.
Last week I tried Tyson Tastemakers Meal Kits and cooked a delicious Citrus Rum Glazed Chicken in under 30 minutes. It was the highlight of my week. The food was completely prepped and ready to go, all I had to do was throw it in my cast iron skillet. It was so simple that I knew I would be buying more of the meal kits. Last time I was at the grocery store, I went out of my comfort zone and picked up a Tyson Tastemakers Meal Kit that made Tuscan Style Pork Loin & Pork Belly Pasta. To say I was nervous to cook the meal is an understatement but I’m always up for a good challenge (and a delicious meal). If you’re unfamiliar with Tyson Tastemakers Meal Kits, it’s a meal packaged together with everything you need including the sauce, meat, fresh vegetables and more. All of the food that comes in the meal kit is completely prepped and ready for you to cook so you don’t have to waste your time chopping vegetables or marinating meat. These kits have become our favorites because it saves us time and money (and maybe a few arguments about what’s for dinner).
The Tuscan Style Pork Loin & Pork Belly Pasta was the perfect addition to our weekly meal plan. I tend to cook the same meals over and over since that’s what I’m comfortable with. The Tyson Tastemaker Meal Kit helped push me out of my comfort zone in the perfect way. All of the ingredients came fully prepped – even the pasta was cooked! I sauteed the veggies, then cooked the pork loin and pork belly (which was already cut and marinated for me). Once those were done, I added the sauce and pasta and our meal was completely done. It was as easy as 1 -2 -3.
Within minutes of starting to cook, my worries were gone. The pork tenderloin was already cut and marinated so I didn’t have to do anything but throw it in a pan and make sure it was cooked. The meat had been seasoned with rosemary, garlic, fennel and sage which left an amazing smell throughout my house. The final product was so full of flavor and a meal I would have never attempted to cook on my own.
My husband gave this meal two thumbs up. It took approximately 20 minutes to cook from start to finish. You can purchase a kit at the store in Dallas (try Target, Kroger or HEB) or even have the meal kits mailed to you through Amazon Fresh, Amazon Prime Now or Jet.com. I highly recommend giving the meal kits a try there are all sorts of different recipes, so there is always a fresh new culinary adventure to try.
