Over the Christmas holiday, I went on a fudge baking marathon. I made over 5 varieties of fudge and loved testing each one, learning about their ingredients, texture and more. It was a fun experience but I couldn’t wait til that last piece of fudge was out of my house. I have never eaten so much fudge in my entire life. There is something about it that is hard to resist. Since I’ve had a short hiatus from fudge, I thought why not bring it back for Valentine’s Day!

This recipe is a little unique considering it is a Valentine’s Day Cake Batter Fudge which calls for cake mix powder to be directly added into the mixture. This recipe is so good and loved by everybody. During Christmas, I made a couple fudge recipes that were not your ordinary fudge (ie: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Fudge) and while they were SO GOOD, they didn’t set properly like a normal fudge. The taste was there but since it was a different recipe, some of the ingredients made it difficult to set. This recipe for Cake Batter Fudge is different but I’ve had no problems with it firming up properly.

Can you change out the cake mix for different ones? Like chocolate or strawberry?
