Are you familiar with the Macy’s Culinary Council? It’s a collection of some of the country’s most prominent chefs from Wolfgang Puck to Michelle Bernstein to Tom Douglas. The chefs are both ambassadors and instructors, providing expert culinary advice and leading cooking demonstrations at Macy’s stores, with the aim of teaching customers how to cook and shop like a master chef. I was fortunate enough to catch Rick Bayless while he was at Northpark Center. Rick Bayless is most commonly known for winning Bravo’s Top Chef Masters and his immaculate taste for the Mexican cuisine.
The event was packed, people from near and far came to listen to his tricks of the trade and to watch his magic in action. The crowd adored Rick Bayless, his sense of humor and ability to explain his recipes to all types of cooks. He wowed us all with his delicious guacamole and ever so tasty margaritas. Seriously, who doesn’t love guac and margaritas?
I loved his food so much, I wanted to share some of his delicious recipes.
If you have a chance, I would highly recommend going to a Culinary Council event next time they are in town. You’ll get to hang with the chefs, take pictures and learn new cooking skills. For more information about Macy’s Culinary Council and Rick Bayless, visit macys.com/culinarycouncil
