Rockers vs Mods is a tribute to the 1960’s British rivalry between the Mods (on Italian Scooters) & Rockers (On European & Cafe Racers) The Dallas version still has the Anglophile essence, but is infused with a very Texas vibe with great local music and Southern-style jackassery.
Rockers vs Mods is a three day bike show & music festival that features some of the best music in the South. For the Mod sensibilities, the Rude King Ska and Johnny Tone’s Club Wood will be laying down the beats. The Rockers will have the corn-fed rock from The Hickoids, Glambilly & our own, Homer Henderson. The main attraction will be Labretta Suede and the Motel Six hailing from Auckland, New Zealand. This amazing group will make the trip (from NYC) to get everyone shaking their asses in unison at Lee Harvey’s.
Cafe bikes and Italian scooter will be turning up to compete in the bike show, participate in the raffle ( including raffle bike) – in addition to shop tours, good eats, and rides throughout the city.
Here is the schedule:
- Friday, April 5 will be located at The Foundry
- Saturday, April 6 we will take over Lee Harvey’s
- Sunday April 7 takes us to at the Crown & Harp
All this is FREE to spectators and $35 to register a European and Café Style Bike or Italian Scooter. Bike Registration and scheduling information is available at www.rockersvsmods.com.
