Watch Fireworks in Fair Park on July 4th

Blog· Events

MetroPCS Fair Park Fourth is the City of Dallas’ Official Independence Day celebration. This Fourth of July celebration will be held in Fair Park and will feature  fireworks from inside the historic Cotton Bowl, a Dallas Wind Symphony patriotic performance, reduced admission to Fair Park’s museums, “dancing water” shows at the Esplanade Fountain, carnival games and more. This event is free (but if you drive be ready to dish out $10 for parking).

Schedule of Events:

4:30 – 7:30 p.m.: Reduced admission to Fair Park’s participating museums. Take advantage of reduced admission at Fair Park’s six museums including the African American Museum, Dallas Historical Society/Hall of State, Texas Discovery Gardens, Museum of Nature & Science, The Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park, Texas Discovery Gardens and the Texas Museum of Automotive History.

8 p.m.: Dallas Wind Symphony patriotic performance in front of the Hall of State. Gate D opens to Cotton Bowl (Gate D is only entrance; handicap entrance is at Gate C)

9:30 p.m.: Produced by Pyrotechnico, the fireworks display will begin at 9:30 p.m. with live radio simulcast on 98.7 KLUV. Recommended seating will be inside the Cotton Bowl. Gate D will open for the general public at 8 p.m. and will be the only entrance to the Cotton Bowl (except for the Cotton Bowl’s handicap entrance, which is located at Gate C). Visitors also may sit throughout the Fair Park grounds. The event closes at 10 p.m.

The Swan Boats will be available for $10 per boat. Concessions will be sold, or guests are invited to bring their own picnics. But unfortunately, alcohol, glass beverages, fireworks or firearms are not permitted on Fair Grounds. Also, know that you are not allowed to bring strollers, coolers or pets inside the Cotton Bowl!

Bring cash if you want to ride the Swan boat or purchase anything from the concession stands.  ATM machines will be available.
