Use DealWell to Save Money on Local Services and Deals

Blog· Entertainment· Reviews

Save Money on Services and Deals using Deal Well #savings #deals #budgetDeal sites like Groupon and Living Social have been all the rage the past few years. I personally love these deal sites, I’ve bought everything from spa services to museum passes. I love a good deal, so why not buy a service cheap when it’s possible? I was recently introduced to DealWell.com, a deal site that is different from the rest. Unlike other deal sites, DealWell has it’s deals available at any time, they aren’t up just for a few days.  New services and deals are added all of the time, so there is always a great selection to choose from.  I’m the type of person who is NEVER in a rush to do anything so it’s more than often that I’ll come back to buy something on line and it’s so irritating when it isn’t there anymore.  I know that I hate when I go on to Groupon to buy a deal and it’s no longer there.

I thought I would give it a try, so I browsed through services in my area and naturally went straight to the Day Spa section. I’ve been obsessed with spas and being pampered lately, so why not? There were other services to choose from such as chiropractic,  hormone therapy, dental work, eye exams and more. Getting a massage outweighed all my other choices so I decided to book a massage with Mapleshade Spa. I was not familiar with Mapleshade Spa, so like any normal person I googled them and read reviews before deciding to book a massage. No worries, they passed my google test.

When I was buying the massage  through Deal Well, I noticed something that was awesome. I could either purchase the deal for $69 or I could submit a bid for how much I would want to spend and they would give me an instant answer letting me know if my bid was accepted. So I could possibly get my massage for even CHEAPER than the discount they were offering. I loved the idea. I didn’t try to bid to make my massage cheaper, but I will definitely try the bidding process on my next purchase. Once I paid for my spa service, I received a confirmation email. With this email I was able to call Mapleshade Spa instantly and set my appointment. I liked that I didn’t have to wait any length of time to get my massage set up.

After calling Mapleshade Spa, I informed them I was scheduling a massage that I bought through Deal Well. I’m always nervous when telling businesses that I bought their service off of a deal site because I’m afraid they are going to treat me different. I’ve never had a problem, but it’s always in the back of my head. The gentleman was extremely courteous and had no problem helping me redeem my deal. I was even able to schedule my appointment for the beginning of the next week!

Mapleshade Spa Review

Mapleshade Spa Review #Dallas #spa #salon

Mapleshade Spa was hidden in a  tucked away area near George Bush Tollway and Preston Road. The spa looks like a large, older home that has been converted into a spa/salon.  Upon entering, I was given the usual paperwork to fill out before any type of service that you get at a spa.

My masseuse met with me and we discussed any problems that I might be having and what she can do to help relieve any pain. She noted my occupation and realized that I am on the computer constantly so we decided to focus on my upper body (back, arms and neck) opposed to a full body massage, which I was more than happy about.  The masseuse knew that my massage was already paid through by Deal Well but said that she was going to do some extra stuff to my back to help relieve any tension with no cost because  she it needed. It was refreshing to know that she really cared about helping my messed up back other than just trying to get the massage done so she could move on with her day.

The massage room looked like a converted old bedroom that had a fireplace in it. Once the massage started, the masseuse instantly asked me if I grinded my teeth at night after she started rubbing my neck. She was absolutely right, I grind my teeth and I thought it was crazy that she knew from just feeling my neck muscles. My massage lasted an hour and it was extremely relaxing.

I will be back to Mapleshade Spa again. Not only did they have massages, the spa offers all types of services including facials, body wraps, and even hair appointments. If you live in the Dallas area, check out Mapleshade Spa and see what they have to offer.

So interesting. Did it make you feel more relaxed being in a place that was so much like a home? It might have that effect on me. 🙂
