Origin Natural Food to Reopen as Full Kitchen + Bar

Blog· Food and Drinks

Origin Natural Food

On Friday, October 18, Origin Natural Food on McKinney Ave. will temporarily close its doors and reopen later this year as Origin Kitchen + Bar, a full-service restaurant and bar in the same location. As it exists now, Origin Natural Food is a “grab and go” health food restaurant and coffee bar. The new concept will be a casual fine-dining restaurant for dinner service featuring an open kitchen and full bar. Origin Kitchen + Bar will also feature a separate breakfast and lunch menu with a coffee and espresso bar.

“After 9 months in operation we have grown a strong and loyal customer base, and we are excited to offer them the same quality service with an expanded food menu in a full service restaurant with an open-kitchen concept,” said co-owner Jessica Myers.

The redesigned Origin Kitchen + Bar will offer made-to-order breakfast and lunch, while keeping the same expansive and high-quality coffee bar selection. Guests will be welcome to take their food and coffee to go, or to sit and enjoy at a table in the restaurant.

The dinner hours will accommodate guests in a traditional seated restaurant style. With the addition of a full service bar, customers will enjoy the same locally-sourced food that Origin had originally introduced when it first opened in January 2013, but it will offer a more expanded menu.

“We anticipate if everything goes smoothly in the renovation and redesign phases, we will open our doors again in early December,” said Russell Aldredge, co-owner. “We are hoping to accommodate our strong existing customer base with the counter service style breakfast and lunch, and to bring in new customers with our dinner menu.”
