Lexus RX 350 F Sport Crossover Review

Lexus RX 350 F Sport Review

I’m on the hunt for a new car. I love my Audi but it’s time for something new.  I’ve always been a fan of Lexus so this past week I took the the Lexus RX350 F Sport for a test run.  I haven’t driven a Lexus SUV before so I wasn’t sure what to expect other than luxury.

Lexus RX350 Review

LExus RX350 F Sport CrossoverLuxury is definitely what I encountered. Everything about this SUV blew me away from the Navigation to the comfort of the back seats, I had no complaints.  I was instantly comfortable in this Crossover and loved all the added features that made driving fun again.

Lexus RX350 Interior

The voice-activated Navigation System* uses a Hard Disk Drive to store maps and data. Additionally, it can recognize over 100 voice commands, provides a high-resolution 8.0-inch color display, can map over eight million points of interest and can display information in English, French or Spanish. When I was driving, I would use Lexus Link which is 24 hour live operator support that will help you with directions and more. Instead of worrying about inputting an address into the GPS, I could call Lexus Link and give them the address of where I am wanting to go and they send the directions straight to my screen.

Lexus RX350 CrossoverThe Heads Up Display was amazing. This available system can project simple navigation directions, audio information and vehicle speed onto the windshield in front of you, so you can spend more time focused on the road ahead. And unlike other systems, it includes a distance countdown and an animated arrow that guides you intuitively through turns. One of my favorite features is the space that is between the driver and passenger seat. The Lexus has opened that space up for you to put any extra cargo. For me, I used it for my purse and make up bag.

Lexus RX 350I don’t have any kids to try out my back seat but I did get lucky enough to pick up my niece and nephew a couple times from school during the past week. They were mesmerized by the Lexus. Their favorite feature was the console in the back seat. They went on and on about how cool it was while they played constantly with it. It’s all about the little things, isn’t it?

Lexus RX 350 Back Seat

Lexus RX 350 Back Seat Air ControlsI realized that I use my trunk way more than I expected over the week. I drive a sedan which doesn’t have a huge trunk so I’m not able to use it as often as I like. With the Lexus RX 350, I filled the back up multiple times with all sort of goodies. I was able to move large boxes to my office across town, I filled the car with at least 20 bags of clothes for donations (more than once), I hauled a 4’6” picture home from my in-laws, and I was able to shop til I dropped without batting an eye.  Looking back at this past week and all that I was able to accomplish with the SUV really makes me think I need one.

Lexus RX 350 RearThe power rear door of the RX offers remote keyless access to the rear storage area. The rear door can be raised and lowered from inside the vehicle by using a switch or remotely with the SmartAccess fob.

Lexus RX 350 Trunk The more I drove the car, the more features I realized it had. I’m impressed with how innovative Lexus is and what they are now doing with their vehicles. I think the Lexus RX350 might have sold me on buying a SUV.

Lexus RX 350 TrunkIf you were to buy a new car, what features would you look for? What would turn you off of buying a car?

This is a gorgeous car. I can’t drive anything that is too huge, but I also need a lot of storage in the trunk.

What a sharp looking car. How a car actually rides – if it’s a smooth ride -is what determines a car for me.

I’m always looking at the entertainment system. Not only music but entertainment for the kids. I want tvs, and enough ports for charging devices

We went car shopping a few weeks ago. The newer cars make me feel like I am in a space ship or something. It was a little overwhelming for me. While some of the features were nice, some of it was just a bit much. So, I was happy to buy an older car with low miles. And, it goes really fast. LOL

This is a beautiful car. I’m all about seat belts, air bags, extra reinforcement in the roof, and a good warranty. I’m pretty sure Lexus has all of those things. I like that your niece and nephew enjoyed the console. It is about the little things, at times.

If i was looking at a new car i would looks at how much storage room there is. With two teenagers we need lots of storage space. Heated seats are a must for us as well.

We sadly don’t drive and use the subway BUT if I were to buy a car I would look for spacious and kid friendly. That and good on gas, it’s so pricey anymore!

That is one super nice vehicle!!! We are actually in the market for a new car right now. The main thing we look for is spacious! There are 6 of us. The second thing is gas mileage. If it gets horrible gas mileage it is a definite no. I mean with gas prices constantly going up we have to be very mindful of that. 🙂
