With Halloween right around the corner, it’s time to start stocking up on candy and treats for all of the trick or treaters that will be stopping by your house. Admittedly, it wasn’t until a few years ago that I never thought about providing non candy treats to the kids that visited my house every year. Since the highlight of my years as a kid during Halloween was stacking up on all the candy that I could get, it never crossed my mind that some kids don’t have the luxury of being able to eat all of the treats provided.
There are so many little ones with all types of food allergies which means they can’t eat a majority of the candy that is handed out during Halloween. Ever since I realized this issue, I always provide other types of non-candy treats for little ones that come to my house.
