Welcome to The Dallas Socials, a millennial lifestyle blog based in Dallas, TX

Meet Betsy Segars

Email: Betsy@TheDallasSocials.com

Hey Yall! I’m Betsy Segars, a millennial lifestyle blogger based in Dallas, TX. I’ve been married to my husband Quinn since 2014. After a couple years of trying, we were blessed with our first child, Bryce, in 2017. Our second boy, Myles, arrived 3 years after Bryce in 2020.

I was born and raised in the Dallas metroplex and even attended college in the area. Dallas is my heart and home though I never turn down a chance to travel whether it be to a surrounding state or across the world.

I started blogging in 2009 when I was living in the heart of Dallas. I was having issues trying to find fun things to do in the city and a reliable source for events. I couldn’t find what I was looking for so I decided to start @DallasSocials on twitter and post all the great things happening around town.  As my following grew, I started blogging at The Dallas Socials to share a more detailed side of my life sharing more of my travels, favorite foods, and adventures in more detail.

Meet My Family

My husband Quinn Segars is my rock. He owns a Dallas Real Estate Brokerage, Segars Realty Group. He is my biggest supporter and runs with all my crazy ideas. I love that he never makes me feel like any of my random business ideas or thoughts are crazy (even when they might be a little out there). We run multiple companies together and it’s such a blessing to have a team partner to do life with.

Bryce is my preschooler. He is quick witted, very athletic and loves his family with all his heart. He is my worker bee. He is at his best when he is busy busy busy. He currently plays soccer, tball, swim and flag football. After 3 years as an only child, Bryce has taken the role of being the best big brother ever.

Myles is our sweet boy who arrived in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic. It’s been so fun to watch him grow into her personality. The thought of having more than one kid seemed a bit scary but Myles has made the transition so easy. He is laid back, sleeps through the night and loves to watch Bryce’s crazy antics. He is our crazy toddler who loves to laugh, color all over our walls and get into trouble whenever possible.

About the Blog

When I started The Dallas Socials, I had no idea how big of a blessing it would be in my life. It was started on a whim and I had no clue what I was doing. Thankfully, my older sister who blogs at Digital Mom Blog helped me get things started and answered the million questions I had (and still have). I have been so fortunate to work with a large variety of companies since 2009. I’ve been a brand ambassador for Best Buy, Ford, Costco, Six Flags, and Aeroflow.  I love working with companies both local and nationwide that fit into my life to help tell their story. As a growing family, I’m always looking for new ways to work with companies and brands.

This site is wonderful, as is your FB page! I love being able to keep my finger on the pulse of the social scene in Dallas while living out in the 'burbs, knee-deep in diapers and Hotwheel cars. This makes date nights so easy to plan! Thank you.
