Grant the Wishes of Children with Walk for Wishes

Walk for Wishes Dallas 2013Want to make a difference and fulfill the wishes of North Texas children? Then register for Walk for Wishes! The Make-A-Wish® North Texas Walk for Wishes is a 5k and Fun Walk where participants, wish kids and volunteers take big strides to make wishes come true. Every dollar raised from the event goes to fulfilling the wishes of North Texas children. Participants are invited to walk and enjoy festivities while meeting courageous wish children who had their heartfelt wish granted. Before and after the walk there will be live music, delicious food options, a petting zoo and the Kid’s Zone for everyone to enjoy!

If you want to learn how to sign up for Walk for Wishes and grant the wishes of children with life-threatening conditions, it’s easy and takes just a few minutes!

Join a team, register as an individual, or create a team made up of your friends, family and colleagues. Walk for Wishes is a 5K walk that’s family-friendly and a lot of fun! This year’s walk will be at Reverchon Park on Saturday, March 29th (3505 Maple Ave., Dallas, TX 75219). More event & registration details can be found here. Prizes are given to the top fundraising groups as well as individuals. Even if you are unable to attend the event, you can still fundraise online by signing up as a Virtual Participant.

You can also volunteer to help at Walk for Wishes. Some volunteer duties include, but are not limited to assisting with: parking, food/beverage, registration, kids zone, set up and clean up. To register as a volunteer, go here.

The sole purpose of Make-A-Wish® is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, in order to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. They want to provide children with the hope for better times, the strength for the tough times and the joy to experience the present. With your support at events such as Walk for Wishes, Make-A-Wish® is able to fulfill its mission and make wishes come true. What’s amazing is that every 38 minutes, Make-A-Wish® grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the United State and its territories. Make-A-Wish® does everything they can to make every wish kid’s experience as magical as possible starting at the very moment they are approved for the wish.

Lace up your walking shoes, put together a team and be part of a event that brings hope, strength and joy to the lives of North Texas children. 2014 Walk for Wishes is Saturday,  March 29, at Reverchon Park: 3505 Maple Ave., Dallas, TX 75219.
