Visiting Branson – Need Recommendations!

Blog· Travel

The year is flying by and I’m not a fan.

When I realized that it was ALREADY April, it also hit me that I haven’t traveled at all this year. I try to get out of town often, not because I don’t like it here but because it’s good to get away, relax and get your mind off things.  When planning vacations or mini weekend trips, I always try to travel to places that I’ve never been before. I like to venture to new cities and see what they are all about.

After going through our options, my fiance and I have scheduled a weekend trip to Branson, MO. We decided that we would take a road trip to make things more fun.  I haven’t been on a road trip in forever so I’m quite excited. Not to mention we get to drive the Ford Fusion Titanium! There are so many amazing features on this car and I can’t wait to try them all out over the weekend.

We have a FULL weekend of events in Branson. Some events that we have planned are taking a zipline tour, visiting the Titanic Museum, Spending a day at Silver Dollar City and enjoying a dinner on a boat cruise.  Although that sounds like a lot of things to do, I’m still looking for recommendations from people who have been there! What restaurants should we eat at (or avoid)? Are there any awesome stops from Dallas to Branson that we need to make (think Roadside Attractions)? Is there any attractions that are a MUST see when we are there?

As you can tell, I’m looking for any info that you have about Branson that would be helpful! Once I return, I’ll be sharing all about my trip so stay tuned!

Thanks in advance for the recommendations!

I’ve never been there, but I am sure you will find lots of stuff to do. Maybe ask the hotel concierge? If not, I bet if you Google it, you will find lots of stuff.

Following this because my husband and I are planning on taking a last minute trip before the baby comes, I am looking for something Southwest flies nonstop to (which isn’t much now that we haven’t already exhausted but soon to change!) since I am an Employee and can fly standby. Branson looks so pretty!!

Avoid Lone Star Steakhouse at all costs. Last time I went to the Branson one, my steak was RAW in the middle.

The Titanic museum is going to be amazing! I went to a seasonal Titanic exhibit they had here at our local museum and it was incredible. I learned so much and was totally fascinated by all of the treasures they found after the ship sunk.
