Kid Friendly Restaurants in Dallas

Blog· Food and Drinks

If you are tired of settling for whatever is in the fridge or sick of the age old dilemma of trying to figure out how many Ramen packets you can shove in a pot… Just remember there are a ton of Kid Friendly Restaurants in Dallas.

Kid Friendly Restaurants in Dallas

“Mom, I’m hungry! This is one of the most dreaded sentence of all. Instead of staying in, dine out with the whole family, and take a break from the kitchen. These kid friendly restaurants are the perfect solution.

The Dream Cafe is number one on our list for breakfast. They have a great patio and toddler play area that is sure to create some laughs. They also make it easy to keep it on the healthier side with their calorie conscious menu options. Make sure you do not leave without trying the popovers with strawberry butter, it is to die for! I can’t stress enough how relaxed the atmosphere is here and not to mention the friendly staff.

Ready for lunch?

The Lot is found in East Dallas, this kid friendly restaurant may look like a daycare center but looks can be deceiving. They are often named the most family friendly restaurant in Dallas that serves up some good food and cold beer as well. Another great thing about this restaurant is they are known to be focused on Farm to Table and what beats knowing that your food is not only amazing but local? Our go to is The Lot Nachos, and trust me you will love them too!

If you are having trouble deciding, just head into your nearest Tex-Mex restaurant. All of these restaurants are the perfect atmosphere for kids thanks to the low-key atmosphere, free chips, a coloring sheet for the kids to draw on and it is easy on your budget. One of my favorite Tex Mex restaurants is Matts Rancho Martinez.

Another great choice is the Highland Park Pharmacy for that old time feel! This place is one of the most popular kid friendly restaurants in Dallas. They serve up some great grilled cheese, delicious milkshakes and amazing BLTs. A good thing to keep in mind is that it isn’t just all about lunch and dinner here. They are known to have a pretty hearty breakfast menu. This place has a great nostalgic vibe to it because they serve their food on an old fashioned lunch counter. It will bring back some great childhood memories while also helping you build new memories with your own little ones. Be sure to splurge a little and try the ice cream!

It always feels easier to stay in with the kids but just remember here in Dallas we have some great kid friendly restaurants where you can make memories with the kiddos while enjoying a bite to eat.
