I eat out often, usually during lunch time and I always find it a pain to find something to eat. There are tons of options in the area but I usually want something that will be quick and healthy. I avoid fast food so it’s hard to find something that meets my needs. I’ve heard a lot about Tokyo Joe’s but didn’t realize it would satisfy all my hunger needs.
I stopped in one weekday to see what it was all about. The restaurant was buzzing around lunchtime and it was apparent that I have waited way too long to give this place a shot. Upon walking in, you order at the counter top and are given a number to claim your food once it’s ready. My husband and I wanted to try something lite so we ordered the poke bowls and shared a bento box.
The Poke Bowl is just like sushi but in a bowl and can be made with tuna or salmon, vegetables and rice. It was the perfect size for a lite lunch.
Since it was our first time at Tokyo Joe’s, we wanted to try it all. I absolutely love bento boxes and was excited to be able to add whatever I wanted to ours. We kept it simple since we knew we would be quite full from the poke bowls. Our bento box was full of teriyaki chicken, a California roll, brown rice and edamame.
All of the food was very fresh and full of flavor. While we were there, I learned that Tokyo Joe’s is highly desired from those who are on a strict diet or meal regimen. Tokyo Joe’s Meal Plan is comprised of freshly made meals with specific macronutrient targets, all designed by elite trainers and coaches. Portion controlled meals for athletes, fitness-minded folks and everyday people looking to take their wellness goals to the next level. I can’t wait to go back and try their sushi. I’ll be going on a Monday night because they have 2 for 1 Sushi every Monday from 4-closing. Guests who dine in can enjoy ANY made-to-order sushi off the menu and get their second order of sushi free. Tokyo Joe’s has locations in Richardson and McKinney. The fast-casual asian-style restaurant offers a variety of rolls available in 4 or 8 pieces including the:
