Celebrate National Guacamole Day

Blog

This year has been a complete whirlwind. The pandemic has turned our world upside down and then we had a baby in April when the pandemic had peaked in Texas. The world kind of stopped in many weird ways. Both my husband and I are self-employed and business came to halt. Our toddler’s school stopped so we were all the sudden thrown into life with a newborn and a toddler who didn’t understand all of the many changes.

Like everybody else, we learned to embrace all the changes and to go with the flow. The pandemic frankly sucks but we have learned to relish in the little things. We were forced to take a break and stop going at a 100 miles an hour.  Now that the world is slowly returning back to normal after six months of the unknown, we have been celebrating all the things.

The holidays are right around the corner and let me tell you – we will be celebrating like there is no tomorrow. Until then, we will be basking in other celebrations to keep our spirits up. One day that we can’t wait for is NATIONAL GUACAMOLE DAY.

National Guacamole Day is this Wednesday, September 16. We are a guacamole lovin’ family, so this day is high on our list of holidays to commemorate.  If you’re in the Dallas area, I’ve got an event for you that you won’t want to miss!

Visit “The Pit Stop” at Legacy West for free Guacamole

The Texas based makers of WHOLLY® GUACAMOLE are offering visitors free, tasty guacamole and chips throughout the day on September 16th from 11:30am-7:30pm. WHOLLY® GUACAMOLE is so excited to share it’s love for guac, they are giving five lucky fans the chance to win free guacamole for a year by swapping your under- or over-ripened avocados for delicious, ready to eat guacamole!

Not in Dallas? No problem! Head to WHOLLY® GUACAMOLE’s Twitter page (@EatWholly) and join in on the fun and enter for a chance to win free guac.  Visit thepitstop.eatwholly.com/rules to learn more about the free guacamole for a year giveaway.

Our family is not only obsessed with guacamole but WHOLLY® GUACAMOLE is our go-to guac! It’s always stocked in our fridge for an easy and convenient snack or to add some delicious flavor to our meals. I love that it’s made with real, quality ingredients, including hand-scooped hass Avocados and no added preservatives!

Let’s celebrate National Guacamole Day together! Legacy West is located at 5908 Headquarters Drive, Plano, TX 75024. See you at The Pit Stop!
