Football Mania at Brick House Tavern + Tap

Blog· Food and Drinks

There are a few things that we really love here in Dallas – Football, Brunch and Patios. Those three things usually consume our Sundays during the Fall season, and it’s so wonderful.  I found a gem in North Dallas that incorporates all three of those things and I couldn’t be happier. Brickhouse Tavern + Tap has been open in Plano less than a year now and I’m ashamed to say that I haven’t visited it before this past weekend.

Brickhouse Tavern + Tap Offers Football, Brunch and an amazing patio! #food

Brickhouse Tavern + Tap has something for everyone. Their extensive menu has everything on it from zucchini curls to meatballs to red meat chili. To be honest, when we went it was hard to decide what to order because everything looked delicious. Not only was the menu big but all of the items looked delicious so it was very hard to decide what to get.

The food is as delicious as it looks. Brick House Tavern + Tap started serving breakfast this month so you know I had to give it a try. The menu offered items such as filet mignon eggs benedict, grand marnier french toast and chicken and waffles. As soon as I saw the chicken and waffles, I knew that is what I had to have.

My waffles were HUGE, I couldn’t even eat half of it so I was more than excited to be able to take it home and have breakfast for the next day.  Did I mention they had TWO DOLLAR MIMOSAS? It drives me crazy when I order a mimosa (or three) at brunch, only to find out they cost $12 a piece when I get the bill. No mimosa should cost that much, I don’t know what some restaurants are thinking. When I saw that mimosas were only $2, I ordered one. Not only are they $2, they weren’t pre-made either!  I actually watched the bartender make mine which made the mimosa THAT much  better.  Brunch is available every Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 4pm.

Other than for brunch, we stopped by Brick House Tavern + Tap to watch the Cowboys play. The game started at 12:00pm so we got there around 11:30am since we weren’t sure how packed it would get. We arrived before the crazy rush of football fans which allowed us to pick where we wanted to sit. So needless to say, we got prime TV seating. The manager was walking around asking each table which game they were there to see so he can make sure the correct game was playing. To be honest, I don’t think there was a bad seat in the house since there were TVs everywhere!  By 12pm, the restaurant was full of customers ready to eat and watch the football game. I would highly recommend getting there early just so you get to choose your seat.

If you’re a football fan, you need to go to www.brickhousefootball.com and sing up for the Brick Houst Tavern + Tap NFL Pick ‘Em Game. Each week you can choose the head-to-head winner of all football games each week and earn points for choosing correctly. If you do well, you can be placed on the leader board at your local Brick House restaurant. Each time you dine at Brick House you receive bonus points that you can attach to your account so don’t throw away your receipt until you have entered the code!  The great thing about this program is that you can win some awesome prizes including free food, pint glasses and more. Earn up to 300 points on your account and you will be entered to win the ultimate Gameday Sanctuary – a 52″ TV, leather recliner with built in TV tray and 100 oz. hand crafted, signature Brick House beer bong!

Overall, I loved the restaurant and concept. There was a great mixed crowd and the place was lively during the game. Also any place that has $2 mimosas is okay in my book!  Brick House Tavern + Tap has over 16 locations nationwide, find the closest location to you here – http://brickhousetavernandtap.com/locations/.
