10 Must-Have Kitchen Tools You Need for Holiday Cooking

Although I cook every day in my house, during the holidays cooking is taken up a notch. I become a crazy lady cooking all sorts of desserts and foods that I wouldn’t cook any other time of the year. I absolutely love cooking because it puts my mind in another place. While I’m cooking, I’m not thinking about work or an email that I need to spend. I am completely focused on food. Even though cooking is my happy place, it can still be stressful. (Have you ever finished a dish and realized that you completely forgot to add a certain ingredient? or how about that one time when you added a whole cup of flour instead of 1/4 cup of flour to your cookie batter?)

In preparation of all of the holiday cooking that I will be doing, I’ve made a list of 10 must-have kitchen tools that you need for this holiday season.

Silpat Non-Stick Baking Mat — Perfect for keeping all sorts of baked good from sticking to the pan

Mrs. Anderson’s Baking Crank Flour Sifter – Using a sifter is key in achieving a light and fluffy texture in cakes and cookies

Zyliss Stainless-Steel Cake Server with Detachable Blade – how many times have you destroyed a piece of pie trying to get it out of the pan? This cake and pie server makes broken pie a thing of the past.

Victorio VKP1010 Apple and Potato Peeler, Suction Base – Whether it’s apple pie or Mashed potatoes, this Peeler is a huge time saver!

OXO Good Grips Wooden Spoon Set, 3-Piece – Because everyone needs a good, solid set of wooden spoons

Pyrex 6022369 Storage 14-Piece Round Set, Clear with Blue Lids – Perfect for leftovers, these glass containers double as prep bowls

Crock-Pot SCCPVL610-S Programmable Cook and Carry Oval Slow Cooker – for when there just isn’t enough room in the oven!

Pyrex #1086053 Smart Essentials 8-Piece Mixing Bowl Set W/Colored Lids – Glass is perfect for mixing bowls because it is durable and it can go in the microwave AND dishwasher

RSVP Herb Scissors – Makes cutting up herbs and garnishes a breeze

Wilton 2304-1050 101-Piece Cookie Cutter Set — not just for the holidays, there are cookie cutters for every occasion!

The great thing about these tools are that you can use them ALL year long! What tools do you use the most during the holiday season?
