Beauty Brands Open New Location in Addison

When I heard Beauty Brands opened their newest location in Addison, I knew I had to go check it out. I love beauty stores and products so I was so excited to know that there is a Beauty Brands in such short distance from where I shop, eat and play.

Upon entering you have two choices, head right to get pampered at their salon and spa or head left and get pampered by all the beauty products you could ever want and need. Naturally, I headed to the right so I could get my favorite thing ever – a blowout.

I love blow outs because I have lots of hair and it’s long but it usually takes forever to get it blown out. Most places that I get a blow out schedules me for a 45 minute appointment, the problem is that everyone always takes minimum an hour and a half. I don’t mind because I know that it takes a while, but it pushes the stylists schedule back and they end up rushing through the last half of my blow out or they take their sweet time making people who had an appointment wait. Either way, it’s usually pretty awkward so I always let the salon know that I have thick and long hair.

I expected the same at Beauty Brands but things were much different. My stylist started my blow out with what she called a “sensory journey.” I had no idea what was coming but I needed to relax so I was excited for it. She started off by allowing me choose between a few different essential oils, once I chose my favorite scent, she gave me a long scalp massage using the oil. After my amazing scalp massage, we went through the normal steps of a blow out. First was a long shampoo then next was a blow dry. My stylist gave me a blow out like I’ve never had. Instead of blow drying my hair with a round brush then going back with a curling iron, she set my hair using lots of round brushes. I wasn’t kidding when I said I have a lot of hair. There were atleast 20 round brushes on my head. The great part about it is that once she was done blow drying the very last round brush, my curls were set on the first brushes she put in.  Within minutes, she was able to take out all the run brushes and my hair was extremely full and slightly curled at the end. The best part about it? It was done in an hour! I was highly impressed.

After my pamper session and amazing blow out, I went straight to their retail section to see what they had. The store is absolutely gorgeous. The new space is designed with the modern American beauty in mind, and it has a cosmopolitan yet approachable look. 

It’s filled with upscale skincare, cosmetics, haircare, nail, bath and body brands, offering ample opportunity for play.  Among them are several new lines, including L’Occitane, Origins, Indie Lee, Mai Couture, Nia 24, NuFace, Ren, Rodial, True Isaac Mizrahi, Nest fragrance, and Julep.

I stocked up on lip gloss and a few new hair products that I’m currently testing out. I absolutely love the location and I’m obsessed with their blow outs so I’ll be visiting Beauty Brands often!
