It hasn’t even been 6 months since I got married to my best friend. Just thinking back about our special day, the planning, the registries and everything that went into it makes me nostalgic. I know you’re thinking “IT HASN’T EVEN BEEN A YEAR, settle down!” but it’s been such a fun ride.
During our planning process, one of the best things we got to do was the head to our favorite stores and register for presents and things that we needed to start our lives together. Registering was tons of fun but at times a bit difficult. I’m not a fan of people throwing registries in your face when you’re invited to an event so we decided that wasn’t what we were going to do. We registered so that if someone asked, we could have a place to direct them to. One thing I noticed when we were registering is that we wanted every piece of technology that we could find and many of the every day technologies and wants weren’t at the regular places you would register. For instance, I would never ask anyone to buy me a new refrigerator but how cool would it be to be able to put it on your list and let multiple people go in together an buy one. Many of our family members went in together so they could buy us more expensive gifts and we loved it!
Well, guess what? One of my all time favorite stores now has a Gift Registry. This makes me both happy and sad. Happy that all of my friends and family getting married will now get the chance to register there and get things they want but sad because I got married 6 months too early! I kid, I kid.
Think of all the amazing products that you use every single day that could be added to your registry. Some of my favorites include my Canon Rebel, Kitchenaide mixer and Dyson vacuum!
