The Moody Family Children’s Museum located on the bottom floor of the Perot Museum is one of our favorites. This section of the museum is designed specifically for children ages 5 and under. It features interactive exhibits and play areas that encourage early learning, exploration, and discovery.
The Perot Museum also features a state-of-the-art theater, an outdoor plaza, a café, and a gift shop. It regularly hosts special exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and educational programs for both children and adults.

THE WOMEN’S MUSEUM
The Women’s Museum: An Institute for the Future: Though currently closed to the public as of my knowledge cutoff, this museum, located in Fair Park, focuses on the achievements and contributions of women in various fields throughout history. It offers exhibits and programs that empower and educate visitors about the accomplishments of women.
The Women’s Museum’s 70,000-square-foot building was the Hall of Administration for that centennial fair. The building predates the expo; it was built in 1910 as Dallas’s first coliseum, originally designed for horse shows and to hold livestock but also used for operas and other musical entertainment. “The Spirit of the Centennial” 15-foot-high statue outside depicts a young woman rising from a saguaro cactus (a species native to Arizona, not Texas). A Texas girl, Georgia Carroll, was the model. The statue was designed by Raoul Josset and executed by Jose Martin.
Currently, The Women’s Building is only opened for special events and exhibitions. Not currently opened to the public.
CAVANAUGH FLIGHT MUSEUM
Situated in Addison, just north of Dallas, the Cavanaugh Flight Museum is dedicated to preserving, restoring, and displaying vintage aircraft. It showcases a vast collection of planes from different eras, allowing visitors to explore the history of aviation.
