Hard Rock Cafe has always been a restaurant that I go to when I’m out of town. The last time I was in Orlando and San Antonio, we stopped at a Hard Rock Cafe. The problem is that I didn’t visit the one in Dallas often, why is it that I only visit other Hard Rock Cafes when I leave town? I decided to change that mentality and give the one in Dallas a shot. They recently rolled out a new redesigned menu that took more than 14 months of culinary development so I was exciting to see and taste the changes.
As you already know, it’s hotter than hell outside so I was wanting a drink that would help me cool down. Our waitress was extremely helpful and suggested that we try one of their pressed drinks. The base is a watermelon puree with lemonade, fresh lemons and strawberries with added dragonberry rum and Cointreau. The coolest part about this drink? It’s served in a French coffee press which keeps all of the fruit from getting into your drink but really gives the rum a great deal of flavor.
The french press made enough drinks to fill my glass multiple times which was great. The longer the fruit had to fill the rum with flavor was better. This is a great drink to sip on throughout the night. I was starving when I got there so we ordered the Classic Rock Buffalo Wings to start. These jumbo wings are coated with their signature smoked dry rub, slow roasted and served with blue cheese, carrot and celery sticks. The Classic Rock wings were full of flavor and had the perfect amount of spice.
I struggled between ordering the Famous Fajitas or the Grilled Norwegian Salmon. Since I’m obsessed with Mexican Food and usually go with that since it’s what I love, I chose the Salmon instead. My 8 oz filet was grilled wrapped in cedar paper and drizzled with sweet and spicy barbecue sauce, served with mashed potatoes and broccoli.
My husband wanted something a little more hearty for his meal and opted for the Hickory Smoked Barbecue Duo. He chose the barbecue brisket and chicken. His plate was packed full with food and it was all delicious. The barbecue brisket literally fell apart with the touch of a fork. There was plenty left over for lunch the next day.
Because I feel like you should never pass up the opportunity to order mac n’ cheese, I had to try theirs and see what it was all about. Their twisted mac n’ cheese was a great addition to both of our meals. I wish it was a bit more cheesy but was still delicious. It was more than plenty for two people to share.
Not that we needed anymore food, but after seeing that there was Oreo Cheesecake on the menu I knew I had to order it. I told myself I would only have “one bite” and “just a little taste.” That went out the window very quickly after the dessert was delivered. Before I realized it, we had eaten the whole slice of cheesecake and I don’t regret it one bit.
Next time you’re looking for a place to grab a bite to eat or chill and get a drink, stop by Hard Rock Cafe. Their new menu is impressive and it offers something for everybody.

The new menu looks great! The last time that my family enjoyed the Hard Rock Cafe we were visiting Miami! The team at Hard Rock is always amazing and their customer service is impeccable! As a millennial family, we are hooked on 90s music and this was definitely up our alley!
The photos were amazing and the mashed potatoes made me want to drive to the Hard Rock Cafe RIGHT NOW! 🙂 Thanks for such a great post!
