It’s the most wonderful time of the year
Can you believe the year is almost over? It went by in a blink and it’s seriously bitter sweet. We welcomed baby Bryce at the beginning of the year and we have not stopped moving since. There has been many sleepless nights but the days of watching him learn and grow over power those nights where I didn’t sleep a wink. This holiday season, we’ve been going full force celebrating around Dallas.
We wanted to end 2017 on a great note so we booked a stay at the Hilton Anatole to experience Peppermint Park. We were excited to escape from our messy house for the weekend and to have some fun. Staycations are the best way for us to get our mind off of work to have a little fun without having to go too far.
From the second we pulled up, I knew we were going to have a blast. The Hilton Anatole is completely decked in decorations with photo opportunities every where you look.
Upon arriving, we got situated in our room and headed straight down to Peppermint Park. We couldn’t wait to get out there and see what it was all about. You can’t beat this view.
Since Bryce was only 8 months when we attended, I wasn’t sure what we would be able to do but I was so surprised to see so many events that involved the whole family. I highly recommend getting the Memory Maker FunPass. This pass gave us access to all events taking place at Peppermint Park.
The Memory Maker Fun Pass allows you to visit all the shows and activities in Peppermint Park. We loved watching the Penguin Show and Bryce’s favorite was his very first train ride. The train ride lasted approximately 5 minutes long and took us through Peppermint Park while the conductor cracked us up with his comments.
I loved that Peppermint Park offered ‘adult beverages’ to sip on while walking through the park. If you haven’t had a spiked hot chocolate before, then you are missing out!
We stayed the night at the Anatole so we could have breakfast with Santa the next morning. We woke up bright and early to see the Big Guy. The breakfast included a buffet with everything you could imagine with items like pancakes, bacon, muffins, and an omelette bar.
Santa Claus walked around the room and made his rounds. He was so sweet and stopped by to talk to every child in the room. He even had a few helpers walk around with him that would take pictures for you or help get your little one to smile. After walking around the room, he made his way to his chair and read the kids a Christmas book. All of the kids sat in amazement and gave Santa their full attention.
Bryce was not too sure what to think of Santa but was highly amused with his beard.
We had such a good time at the Hilton Anatole, it was the perfect way for us to relax and get in the holiday spirit. I highly recommend staying the night and purchasing the Santa with breakfast package. It was fun for the whole family! Book your stay and grab tickets to Peppermint Park before it’s too late!
