Holiday Gifts that Give Back – North Texas Food Bank Holiday Calendars & Cards

Blog· Entertainment

The holiday season is now upon us, and soon many of us will be scrambling to find the perfect gift for our family, friends and significant others.  Why not give a gift that not only shows our appreciation for our loved ones, but also helps North Texans struggling with hunger?

North Texas Food Bank “Farm to Table” Holiday Calendar

calendar, ntfb, ntfb calendarThe North Texas Food Bank 13-month calendar (January 2013-January 2014) is now available for purchase.  The calendar showcases thought-provoking photos of fresh produce and highlights the food bank’s commitment to providing fresh fruits and vegetables to those in need.  Included with the photos are statistics and data regarding last year’s fresh produce distribution and important hunger facts.  Photos were taken by Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist David Leeson, and all photos of produce were taken at the North Texas Food Bank’s Dan Morton distribution center.

The 2013 calendar for the North Texas Food Bank is published because of the generosity of Central Market/H.E.B.  Each color calendar is $19.95 and will be sold exclusively at all three Dallas Central Market locations, at the NTFB, and online at the NTFB Store at ntfb.org.  All proceeds go directly to the food bank, and each calendar purchase will provide 60 meals to families in need this holiday season.  Also included is a $5 coupon from Central Market.

North Texas Food Bank Holiday Cards
