Match.com Singles Dish on Dallas Dating

Blog· Entertainment

Dallas focused survey of over 1,000 local singles in an effort to get a pulse of the dating scene in the Big D. The results reveal everything from the best local date spot, sexiest Dallas professions, to which local grocery store has the hottest shoppers.

  • Hottest Dallas-Based Company – Geeks Beat out the Glitz: Diamonds are apparently not a girl’s best friend when it comes to the most eligible Dallas-based employees to date. Dallas women chose the men of Zale Corporation last at 3%, overwhelmingly opting for the more studious company, Texas Instruments, at 30%.
  • Least Dateable Dallas Professions – Cattle Barons and Athletes: When asked to choose which professions local singles were least likely to date, Cattle Barons ranked as the least dateable occupation followed closely by Professional Athletes.
  • Hottest Shoppers – Central Market Ranks #1 over Whole Foods: 47% of singles reported that Central Market had the hottest single shoppers of any grocery store in Dallas. Whole Foods came in second at 32%, and the Farmer’s Market came in last at 4.5%.
  • Oak Cliff Least Lively Singles’ Scene: Rich with new restaurants and shops, the West Dallas/Oak Cliff/Bishop Arts region may seem like the up-and-coming scene, but this area’s appeal apparently has not yet caught on with singles, with only 1.2% reporting this area to have a great dating scene.
  • Singles’ Favorite Dates? Steaks & Sports Rule: A steakhouse dinner was named the most quintessential Dallas date (37%), with the most iconic date spot being The Mansion on Turtle Creek (40%). If you’d rather not shell out for steak, Tex-Mex giant Mi Cocina was voted the best restaurant in Dallas to bring a date (37%). Lastly, if a dinner date is not on your to-do list, a professional sports game came in second as the quintessential Dallas date at 27%, and a picnic at the Arboretum came in third at 21%.
  • Rangers Ranked Hottest Dallas Sports Team: Despite a devastating wild-card loss, the Texas Rangers are still no. 1 in singles’ books, with 38% saying this Dallas team has the hottest players. The Dallas Cowboys came in a close second at 33%.
  • Hottest Owner? Mark the Mogul Wins the Title: Dallas singles overwhelmingly voted Mavericks’ Mark Cuban as the sexiest team owner (62%), with the Cowboys’ Jerry Jones coming in dead last at 4%.
  • Suburbs Still Sexy: When asked what neighborhoods Dallas singles would be willing to date someone from, North Dallas (Preston Hollow, Addison, Farmers Branch) and Plano/Richardson tied for first at 91%, just ahead of Downtown/Uptown at 78%.
  • How Far Will Dallasites Travel For Love?: While a 42% of singles reported that they wouldn’t be willing to travel over 30 minutes for a date, 45% responded that they would be willing to trek 45 minutes to an hour, meaning all hope is not lost for any Fort Worth fella looking to date a Dallas gal (or vice versa).

To further celebrate Dallas singles, Match.com is ramping up its new live events program, Stir, in Dallas with more than 10 different events currently planned for singles through October. The new events program, which recently launched nationally, was designed to bring the best parts of the online and offline meeting experience by harnesses the power of Match.com’s matching algorithm to bring compatible singles together for live, in-person events.

By registering on Match.com, Dallas singles will be able to enjoy a wide variety of events such as a Sur La Table cooking class, an Underground Dinner w/ Chef DAT and multiple happy hours at local hot spots like Private Social and Standard Pour.

One of my favorite things about 2020.... businesse One of my favorite things about 2020.... businesses adapting and making things work! I was recently introduced to @savageburritos and I'm in love. Savage Burritos is the love child of Uncle Julios so it you like UJ, you'll love Savage. They are a delivery only service offering burritos and bowls from select Uncle Julio kitchens in DFW. We ordered a variety of items from burritos, bowls, queso and more. Every single item was bursting with flavor. If you like spicy, I highly recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken Burrito. 🔥 Don't forget to add on a Margarita pop - nothing beats alcohol and Mexican food delivered straight to your door!

Order directly from their site your from your favorite delivery service!
I know this year has dragged on and on for many pe I know this year has dragged on and on for many people but it has flown by to me. I'm 100% sure it has something to do with welcoming Myles into this world during the height of a pandemic and keeping a toddler alive at the same time. I can't wait for Christmas morning to make memories with my little family (even though Christmas shopping isn't complete and I haven't even thought about wrapping presents). It will all fall in to place, it always does. We didn't attend our favorite Christmas events this year or get pictures with Santa so this random Santa picture will do and I'm 100% happy with it. If this year has taught you anything, let it be finding the joy in the little things ❤
The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Althoug The holidays are quickly approaching! 🎄 Although things might be a bit different this season, we're still enjoying some of our favorite foods and traditions. This year we're incorporating ordering family meal kits from @chuysrestaurant for not only my family but extended family that we might not be able to hang with this holiday. It's a simple way to spread the joy with loved ones, eat delicious food and not forget the reason for the season. #ad #nachoaverageholiday
Family pictures are always so much fun.... this ye Family pictures are always so much fun.... this year we got to attempt it twice thanks to sweet Bryce. Thankfully the second time around he cooperated. As painful as they may be, I'm so glad we get these done every year. I love looking back at them and see how much we've all changed and how much the kids have grown!
Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We Can y'all believe the end of the year is here? We got our family pictures back and they look great other than the fact that Bryce decided not to participate. We got one shot with my entire family and Bryce is off to the side playing in poison ivy. 🤦‍♀️

This weekend we ventured to @kidzaniausa, a city r This weekend we ventured to @kidzaniausa, a city ran completely by kids. Your child gets to fully immerse themselves into role playing any job they can imagine. From checking animals at the veterinarian, putting out fires as a firefighter, flying planes in an simulator, creating their own personal logo with Bic, or being a weatherman at WFAA - the options are endless! Kidzania activities are for ages 4 and up.

We felt very comfortable inside with their safety protocols. Temperatures were checked before entering. Everybody ages 4 and up must wear a mask. Hand sanitizer was readily available throughout the entire space. If you're looking for a fun outlet for your child to explore, check it out!
