We Texans love our margaritas (I am a on the rocks with salt kinda girl) yet do not love the calories that come with that heavenly drink! Over the past years there has been a upraising of the “skinny” margaritas, which all seem to fail in comparison to the real thing. Well look no more because the perfect low calorie, all natural, top shelf margarita mix has hit the shelves called, Nectar Girl. Brain child of three Dallasites (which if it’s made in Dallas we know it’s good) that only uses organic agave nectar and key limes and only at 69 calories a serving.
I had a little cooking night with the girls and we broke out the tequila & rum and tried us some Nectar Girl margarita & mojito mixes. I mean, it’s not really a girl’s night until you break out the tequila and start making margaritas. Best thing about Nectar Girl is you don’t feel the calorie guilt you would from a regular margarita…maybe a buzz but no guilt.
At first sip the first word that came to our mind with the margarita is smooth and sweet. It is not some watered down less tasty low calorie drink like so many of them. They have perfected the low calorie margarita! Nectar Girl also has come out with a low cal mojito mix for those that that may not be a margarita person. It also is 69 calories per serving and has a great mix of flavor with the agave nectar and mint. Lets just say these mixes are so tasty (and guilt free) that you may have one too many!
