We are very lucky to have so many organic grocery stores in Dallas. Although there are options, not all organic grocery stores are created equal. I have compiled my list of favorite organic grocery stores to help you find a way to eat a little healthier. With the ability to eat such fresh food free of pesticides and chemicals, we should all take advantage.
Central Market: This place has it all. From the great beer and wine selection, fruits, vegetables, cheese from around the world, fresh meat, and a cafe you will be able to find all of your organic needs. The produce is always fresh and comes with an affordable price tag. The cafe is an excellent choice to stop for your next meal. Not only do they have a sandwich bar, you can request just about anything to eat. Hamburgers, stir fry, and even pizza. The hand cut french fries come with some fancy topping options including vinegar and exotic salts. If you are not in the mood to cook but want to pick up something healthy, check out their Dinner For Two Menu. Swing by the store, pick up a healthy meal, and leave the mess behind. Do not forget to pick up a bottle of wine.
Green Grocer: Stopping by this organic grocery store lifts my spirits. The customer service and friendliness of the staff is always a breath of fresh air. A majority of their produce and products are either grown or made in Texas. That is a great way to get your hands on the freshest produce available, buy local. It is also a great place to pick up a gift that was made in Texas. Green Grocer bakes gluten free muffins and infuses their own water with fresh fruits and herbs. They also offer a juice cleanse to give your body a big dose of vitamins and nutrients. Another great perk about shopping here is they thrive on supporting our community by providing access to healthy food.
Natural Grocers: This organic grocery store has a great selection of vitamins. Their staff is very knowledgeable about the supplements they sell. In addition, they have a great selection of non-dairy products for those who are lactose intolerant and have a hard time finding an alternative to dairy. Have you taken to the Paleo diet or have a guest visiting who has? This grocery store also sells Paleo bread.
Whole Foods: I love that they have multiple locations throughout Dallas. I know anytime I go into Whole Foods they will always have what I want no matter if it’s fresh seafood or a hefty salad. I love that they added a location to Uptown and that you can drink at their bar. Don’t forget to buy a beer for your friend next time you’re in!
Filling our diets with fresh, local, and organic produce and products is a great way to eat clean. These organic grocery stores in Dallas will help you do just that. Stay healthy. Did I list your favorite organic grocery store? What is that one thing that makes your store so special?
