Even though Fall has officially been here in Texas, the weather has finally decided to change too. Only in Texas do we have 90 degree days in the middle of October. This week brought temperatures in the 70s and I can’t tell you how excited it’s made me. The cooler weather gives me all sorts of energy and the attitude to get stuff done.
This past weekend, I made a list of all the things I wanted to accomplish and surprisingly, I’ve kept with my list. I’ve cleaned out a large portion of my house, washed all the blankets laying around, deep cleaned the kitchen and more. Now, I’m working on finishing up the Halloween decorations.
In the midst of all the decorating, cleaning and running around like a crazy person, I’ve found some time to play around in the kitchen. I love to snack on food during the day and if possible, I love to make my own snacks instead of buying them straight from the store. Since pumpkin is all over the place now, I knew I had to have a recipe with Pumpkin Spice. After some thinking, I threw together this delicious recipe that is great to have around the house to snack on or even better for parties. Now, let’s make some Pumpkin Spice Muddy Buddies!
Pumpkin Spice Muddy Buddies Recipe
Muddy Buddy stuff:
- 4 C any Chex cereal
- 1 C Ghirardelli white chocolate wafers
- 1 TBSP pumpkin pie spice
- 1 C powdered sugar
- 1 bag candy corn
- 1 bag candy pumpkins
- 1 bag of M&M’s
Instructions:
- Pour the Chex cereal into a large Ziploc bag. Set aside.
- Using a double boiler, add the white chocolate.
- Stir and add the pumpkin pie seasoning while the chocolate is melting, stir to mix throughout the melted chocolate.
- Pour the melted chocolate into the bagged Chex mix, shaking the bag to cover all of the cereal pieces.
- Next, add the powdered sugar, shake well.
- Empty the bag of Chex mix into a large bowl.
- Add the candy and toss together.
I wouldn’t be able to do all of this holiday cooking without amazing products that assist in everything I do. Before replacing my appliances, I would get so irritated that my meals weren’t cooking properly or that half of my cookies were burnt to a crisp.
