I was recently invited to the try the Summer of ’79 special currently being held at Sullivan’s Steakhouse.
Probably not the best idea, but I only had a small soup for lunch because I knew I would be eating so much for dinner. So needless to say, at 7:30pm when we arrived for dinner, I was starving and ready to eat. Our waitress suggested I try the Knockout Martini. I’m more than happy that I took her suggestion. The Knockout Martini is made of Orange flavored vodka and pineapple chunks stored in a jar for more than 10 days. Even though the drink lives up to it’s name (it will KNOCK you out, if you’re not careful), it was extremely light and perfect for summer.
The Summer of ’79 is the perfect date for you and your significant other (or best friend). Here’s the rundown, the Summer of ’79 is a three course meal (starter, entree, and dessert) for two people for only $79. Choose from the following:
Starters:
- Chilled Asparagus Bisque
- Iceburg Lettuce Wedge
- Summer Mixed Greens
- Caesar Salad
Entrees:
- Filet Mignon 80z
- Salmon Filet 8pz
- Roasted Chicken
- Shrimp Francese
Sides: (Choose one per guest)
- Horseradish Mashed Potatoes
- Creamed Corn
- Broccoli with Garlic
- Baked Potato
- Steamed Asparagus
- Skillet Steak Mushroom Caps
Desserts:
- Bananas Foster Bread Pudding
- Key Lime Pie
- Chocolate Mousse
- New York Style Cheesecake
