Foodies Unite! Savor Dallas is by far one of the best (if not, THE BEST) Foodie and Wine Events that Dallas has to offer. Savor Dallas is not just one event,  but many events throughout the weekend of March 29th-March 31st.

Thursday, March 29th

Riedel Wine Glass Tasting with Maximilian Riedel 

Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas, Junior Ballroom, 3rd Level at 6pm

In a unique and fascinating wine glass tasting, meet CEO of Riedel Crystal of America Maximilian Riedel–the 11th generation of the Riedel glassmaking dynasty–making a rare Dallas appearance, as he demonstrates the relationship between the shape of a glass and our perception and enjoyment of wines.

Ticket includes guided wine tasting, and 3 piece Vinum XL Red Wine Tasting Set – (Retail Value $98.50) Each boxed set contains one of each: Vinum XL Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. Self Parking is available. Purchase Tickets ($79.50 + tax). 

Friday, March 30

Art District Stroll

Dallas Arts District and AT&T Performing Arts Center from 5-7pm

Wine, beer and spirit tasting in the beautiful Dallas Museum of Arts-Seventeen Seventeen Restaurant; Meyerson Symphony Center; Nasher Sculpture Center; and Winspear Opera House; indoor tastings 5 to 7 p.m., featuring wine appr opriate nibbles from Culinaire International, the DMA Cafe, and more to be announced. Ticket includes beverage and food sampling.  Purchase Tickets ($35).

Sips and Sounds at the Kessler Theater

Kessler Theater at 8pm

Enjoy great sips from Stella Artois and Ultimat Vodka, plus tasty bites from Gloria’s, Hattie’s, Inforzato’s Italian, and Tillman’s Roadhouse, followed by a sensational concert from recording artist Carrie Rodriguez, and opening artist Michael Henry Tillman in the historic Kessler Theater–Texas’ hottest new music venue. Complimentary food and beverage tasting from 8 til 9:30 included with ticket.  Cash bar from 9:30 til midnight during the concert. Only 250 seats available for this fun, cozy night of gourmet entertainment. Join us for some partying Oak Cliff and Savor Dallas style.

Also joining us for the evening will be our good friends at Artizone.com, who’ll be bringing some of their favorite artisans’ treats for you to sample, like Kessler Cookies and Dallas Chocolates (thanks for the sweet treats!). Saturday, March 31

Wine, Women and Lunch Benefiting the Dallas Chapter of Les Dames D’Escoffier

Milestone Culinary Arts Center from 11:30am-1pm

Rodgers and Hammerstein had it right: “There is Nothin’ Like a Dame!”. When it comes to fine cooking and great wine, that’s especially true. Join us for a fun and delicious lunch and wine tasting to benefit the Dallas Chapter of Les Dames D’Escoffier. Savor Dallas salutes this amazing group of culinary professionals with a special premium event for our 8th annual celebration of wine, food, spirits and the arts. You’ll get some of each at this special luncheon featuring great chefs preparing recipes from the nationally acclaimed “Cooking with Les Dames D’Escoffier” (Sasquatch Books). You’ll even get to take home a copy of the cookbook (included with your ticket purchase).  Purchase Tickets ($99).

The Perfect Pairing of Wine and Cheese benefiting DFW Chapter of American Institute of Wine and Food 

The Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek from 2-3pm

Michael Flynn, director of wine and beverages for the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek pairs some of his favorite wines with some of the world’s greatest cheeses. Find the perfect pairing for any occasion–from a casual gathering to a formal party. Shop for wine and cheese with confidence after this fun culinary adventure. Wine Panel Tasting Seminar benefiting Texas-Som Texas Sommeliers Association Fund

Four Seasons Resort Club in Las Colinas from 3:30-4:30pm

Top winemakers attending Savor Dallas pour and discuss some of their favorite wines. Your chance to taste with the experts and find out more about great wineries. Wine Panelists include: Mike Martini (Louis M. Martini Wines), Stephanie Putman (Raymond Vineyards), Dr. Richard Becker (Becker Vineyards), April Cullom (Drink Ribera, Drink Spain) and Mike Trujillo (Sequoia Grove). Purchase Tickets ($55). 

Reserve Tasting

Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas Junior Ballrooom Level 3 from 5-6:30pm

Featuring over 50 ultra-premium wines and spirits priced over $55 retail. Limited attendance VIP event. Ticket includes all beverage and food sampling. Purchase Tickets ($125)

International Grand Tasting

Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas from 7-10pm

Featuring Over 60 of Dallas-Fort Worth’s top chefs and artisans serving samples of their cuisine, and more than 400 premium wines, spirits and imported beers. Ticket includes all beverage and food sampling. Each guest also receives a beautiful, commemorative Savor Dallas Riedel Crystal tasting glass (one per person, while supplies last). Purchase Tickets ($100).

(A “Designated Driver Ticket” is also available to the International Grand Tasting for $50. This ticket offers food sampling ONLY. NO alcohol is available with this ticket. You will be issued a special “no alcohol” admission credential. Only a limited number of these tickets will be sold. Savor Dallas promotes responsible consumption.)

No matter which event you decide to attend, you will be guaranteed a good time (and delicious wine).
