Six Must Attend Events in Dallas this Weekend

Start your weekend off on the right foot by attending Light the Runway benefiting Dress for Success on Friday, May 17th. You don’t want to miss the Light the Runway Show.  The event will kick off with a cocktail reception followed by the show. The show has a few father-daughter couples and professional models strut their stuff on the runway.   After the Light the Runway event, stop by the After Party for drinks, dancing and fun.

The Inaugural White Out Party  held at the Dallas Contemporary is brought to you Sigel’s Fine Wines and Great Spirits and is a celebration of clear spirit samplings.  This Saturday, May 18th, dress is all white and head to the Design District to have the time of your life. White Out Party samples will include some of the finest vodkas, gins, tequilas, wines, sakes and rums. Also tied into the event experience will be epicurean bites from such area restaurants as Dragon Fly, Sambuca, Mason Bar and Velvet Taco, as well as music and performance art. The White Out Party is only for 21 and up.

Wildflower! Richardson’s Arts and Music Festival is returning for the 21st year and is set for May 17th – 19th. Don’t miss a beat. Be sure to check the full schedule to see which stage your favorite performer will be at.  Bring your family, this is a family-friendly event.Tickets start at $20 for Wildflower Festival but if you’re a Richardson resident, you can purchase them for even cheaper. The best deal is to pay $30 for a three day pass so you can come back each day.

HP Byron Nelson Championship PGA TOUR is held in Las Colinas at the Four Seasons. Tickets are fairly cheap and start at $45. The event runs from May 13th through May 19th. Even if you’re not a huge golf fan, the HP Byron Nelson is always a good time especially on the weekend. Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, the Byron Nelson hosts a party called Pavilion After Dark. This is where you want to be, lots of people, great music and beer will be flowing.  Stoney LaRue will be rockin’ on Thursday night, Kyle Park on Friday and  Icehouse on Saturday. There are lots of fun and free fan activities throughout the week. Be sure to check them all out before heading there.

Don’t plan on eating before heading over to Taste Addison. This year is bigger and better than ever (is that even possible?). Expect to see more than 70 restaurants serving generous samples at low prices. This year’s event features a Texas Country night on Friday with headlining acts like Reckless Kelly and Turnpike Troubadours. Saturday will cap off a full day of musical entertainment with favorites Sister Hazel and Blue October.  In addition there will be celebrity chef demonstrations, carnival rides, midway games, award-winning children’s entertainment, and more. If you haven’t bought your tickets, stop by DFW area Alberston’s stores for buy one ticket, get one 25% off anytime tickets or you can always purchase tickets at the gate.

Ladies, end your weekend at the Pamper be Fabulous Event on Sunday, May 19th. The women of Dallas will be lining up to snag shopping deals in our bazaar, glisten in the sun in our activity corner, and get inspired in our expert corner.   The festivities begin at 11:00 AM and rolls on until 5:00 PM at the Fashion Industry Gallery. Attendees will get the VIP treatment all day long!  Women will get red carpet-inspired photos taken upon entry and greeted by Adonis shirtless men carrying drinks – Yes, please!  Tickets start at $30.
