Sullivans Steakhouse “Steak and Cake” Dinner

Blog· Events· Food and Drinks· Suburbs

I was recently treated to a preview of the “Steak and Cake” dinner at Sullivan’s Steakhouse (located conveniently off the Dallas North Tollway). The dinner which features a freaking tasty Crabcake and perfectly cooked to order Filet Mignon with a choice  Sullivan’s complimentary blue cheese iceberg wedge or Caesar salad is a steal at just $39.

We started the evening with a delicious ‘Knockout’ martini, a pineapple and vodka trip in a glass. Watch out though, it’ll sneak up on you! Next, we were treated to a delicious array of appetizers but I went straight for the crabcake. Succulent, juicy crab meat was ever so lightly breaded and served alongside a lick off the plate good cajun lobster sauce, a nod to their sister restaurant Del Frisco’s Grille.

When my steak arrived, I was surprised. Could it be? a perfectly crafted barely seared on the outside, the juiciest moist pink center I’ve ever seen on steak. Dang Sullivan’s…you’ve done it. Signed sealed delivered and paired with the creamiest garlic whipped potatoes. I was almost too in love with my steak to part for dessert…almost. You know I love dessert.

The dinner was paired with Sullivan’s private reserve cabernet which, for a bold drinker like myself, fit the bill perfectly with a subtly sweet edge and a crisp finish.

In order to enjoy dessert, we moved on to the Ringside parlor where the restaurant turns into a live music venue. On a wednesday, this place was hopping busy! Impressive. Let’s talk sweets, Peanut Butter Black Bottom Pie with roasted peanuts a caramel drizzle? Sold. Bananas Foster Bread Pudding? Yes please. Too good not to share…so do it. And get in to Sullivans soon! This offer is only good through the next too weeks. I’m taking get in there NOW people.
