These summer festivals near Dallas will keep a sizzle in your summer. There are so many festivals to attend. Take advantage, gather your friends and family, and go make some great summer memories. Bastille on Bishop, July 14th 2015: Join the 6th annual celebration of the city’s community. The streets are closed off so you can enjoy yummy french cuisine, music, wine tasting, and dancing. This festival is located in the historic Bishop Arts District. There will be activities for the kids and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Highland Village Balloon Festival, August 14-16th 2015: This colorful and breathtaking hot air balloon festival is an event you cannot miss this summer. On top of it all, this festival is FREE! Enjoy live bands, a kid’s zone, dog races, arts and crafts, food, and hot air balloons!
Bedford Blues and BBQ Festival, September 4th through 6th 2015: This Labor Day festival offers mouthwatering BBQ and wonderful blues music. Come out and watch the cook off, wander the arts and crafts booths, sit back and enjoy the music.
Dallas Chocolate Festival The Art of Chocolate, September 12th 2015: Get your chocolate fix at this delicious festival. There will be talented chocolate makers that will put on demonstrations and provide you with samples of handcrafted chocolate. Admire chocolate statues while your kids enjoy their own chocolate table and you find more yummy things to eat at one of the food trucks. There are VIP packages available as well if you are seeking a more exquisite chocolate experience.
GrapeFest, September 17th through 20th 2015: Head on down to Historic downtown Grapevine for the 29th annual GrapeFest. This family friendly festival will satisfy the pallet of all wine lovers. The kids will have a ton of fun on the carnival rides and exploring the LegoLand® Discover Center Fun Builds. If you visit the festival on Thursday and Friday admission is free. Greek Food Festival of Dallas, September 25th through 27th 2015: Bring on the baklava and gyros! This festival is centered around authentic Greek food that is delicious. You can visit the church, go to kid’s corner, or simply enjoy the cuisine.
State Fair of Texas, September 25th through August 18th 2015: Where do we start. We are talking about the Texas state fair. Where everything is bigger and better. Not only will you be able to enjoy your favorite fair foods you can also visit the Celebrity Chef Kitchen where there will be 5 cooking demonstrations a day. There are so many things to do! One great advantage of attending the state fair is there are learning opportunities at every turn.
