Come hungry. Leave happy. If you are one of those people that loves eclectic food and desires fine drinks, Fork and Cork is just for you. This outdoor festival set in the heart of Addison Circle Park is perfect for the epicurious and those looking for a relaxing afternoon in a casual setting.
Get ready for the unexpected and walk the grounds while taking in the amazing bouquet of BBQ, Mexican food, and even truffle Macaroni and cheese. Each tent features a local restaurateur serving up their best dishes. Your taste buds will definitely be satisfied.
Aspiring chefs! Learn how to make sushi and sashimi or attend the cooking instruction on how to cook and cut steak under the Savor tent. While browsing through the festival watch a variety of meats being smoked, taste the delights of local restaurants, or just sit back and enjoy the culinary scene on one of their many Adirondack chairs.
Thirsty? What goes better with great food than a cocktail? The wine, beer and spirits are flowing at Fork and Cork. You can just sit at one of the many areas and enjoy the scenery and a refreshment or engage in a lesson from one of the many “drink” experts that will teach you the history and future of your favorite beverage. These experts will lift you up (literally) and give you intense lessons and Q and A on an arrangement of wines, tequilas and brews. Sit down, taste, learn and enjoy.
One VERY important recommendation is to check the schedule of events so you don’t miss out on the highlights of the festival. These include cooking demonstrations from top chefs featured on Food Network and the mixology competition where you get to vote on your favorite bartender.
One more thing – Music! All of this is in a setting with a main stage highlighting an assortment of musical talent. If you are the type that desires to be educated on food, wine and spirits, or you’re simply craving some scrumptious food and a good time, this is the place for you!
Fork and Cork replaced Taste of Addison and has exceeded our expectations of another great event in Addison. It’s an event you don’t want to miss.
