What is your blog about: I started my blog to share my passion for scoring the best bargains in beauty, decor, fashion and more! I often deviate from my bargain hunting to spill on aspects of my life as a single (late) twenty-something living in Dallas.
When did you start: September 2010
Have you always been a bargain hunter: Yes and I probably always will be even if I land some rich man or win the lottery (a girl can dream). I just can’t justify spending a ridiculous amount of money on something and living beyond your means when you can get comparable products at reasonable prices.
What is your greatest find: It’s hard to think of one in particular. I moved from an apartment into a town house this past October and have been re-vamping my room. I scored a 199 vanity chair for less than 35 from Ross. I looked for months and months for the exact thing I wanted and refused to settle or pay a ton of money. That really is the key to bargain shopping; patience. Trust me, it’s hard to refrain when you want something and you want it now. However, if you do your research and wait until you find the right item for the right price, you can become a bargainista too!
Do you have local “go-to” store for bargains?
- Designer Jeans for less: Nordstrom Rack or TJ Maxx. Try to find a TJ Maxx with a “Runway” section, which is a collection of high-end designer duds at majorly reduced prices. TJ Maxx off Park Lane has is my favorite Runway selection.
- Home Decor: Shop Vintage (Antique Mall of Allen is my fave), Kirklands, Home Goods, World Market, Garden Ridge. Sign-up for their e-mail list and use the coupons they send,. Of course, be sure to shop their sales.
- Dresses: Target
- Work Attire: New York & Co. They have really stepped up their style game and always run amazing specials.
- Make-up: I live by e.l.f. cosmetics, which you can find in Target or order online
