Drink for Democracy Encourages You to Vote

Blog· Food and Drinks

A local Dallas couple was fed up with the how few people vote in Texas, so they’re bringing a fun, social aspect to encourage you to get up, and vote. Grab all your friends, go vote together and enjoy drink specials around town.  It’s simple but can make a huge impact.
Here is how Drink for Democracy works:
  1. Visit drinkfordemocracy.com to research local candidates. Put a check mark next to the candidates you like and print a concise list to take to the polls.
  2. We will have Drink for Democracy signs (located with the candidate signs) at 5 Early Voting locations that are closest to the Uptown area. From 10/22-11/2, scan the QR code on our sign and enter your name and email. We automatically send you an email with a verification code.
  3. Show this code to get food and drink specials at participating bars!

**If you don’t have a smartphone, or can’t vote at a location with a D4D sign, then just snap a photo of yourself outside of your polling place and show it to receive the discounts.**

The Official Drink for Democracy Happy Hour is scheduled on October 27 from 4-6pm at Dish Restaurant and Lounge.  They will have great drink specials and complimentary appetizers.  Of course, you need to get your verification code from 10/22-10/27  for this event.

Every restaurant is offering different specials that are valid during different times so there is something for everyone!
