Save Time and Money with these Easter Tips

Blog· Entertainment· Food and Drinks

One thing I love to do is host dinners and parties at my house. I thoroughly enjoy hosting friends and family and making memories in our home. No matter what the celebration, I’m always down to host it. I enjoy decorating, cooking and preparing the house for guests. I enjoy it because I am forced to get my house in order but regardless, it’s still something I love. There have been times that I’ve stressed myself to no end trying to make everything perfect for an event at my house. I went a little over board – the rugs had to be cleaned, the floors mopped, my guest room decorated. You know, all those things that no one else would even notice?

After stressing myself out to the max, I realized it’s just not worth getting stressed over. I still enjoy getting my house ready but I’ve learned it doesn’t have to be perfect. With each party I have at my house, I’ve figured out how and when to cut corners to make things less stress full on me.

Save Time and Money with These Easter Tips

After getting married and joining our two families, holidays are CRAZY. Everyone is going in different directions, it’s hard to see everyone and spend quality time with them. I was determined to make our Easter not only special but stress free. So here’s what I did…

Instead of decorating my whole house in Easter decor, I only focused on the main areas that we would be in. I put a main focus in the dining room where we would be eating.

Easter DecorationsTo take things up a notch, I bought name tags for each guest and placed them at the table. It added a special touch that cost practically nothing!

Easter DecorationsCooking is one of my favorite things to do. It relieves my stress and I get to make beautiful food that makes lots of people happy. During Christmas I ordered a HoneyBaked Ham with sides. It was not only simple but everyone was more than pleased with their food. I thought why not do that for Easter too?

This is how simple making my meal was – I went to HoneyBaked Ham. I didn’t have to call ahead of time or anything. I just showed up and told them what I wanted. I ordered a HoneyBaked ham, turkey, 2 sides and dessert. Within minutes, I had my whole entire Easter dinner completed and it not only saved me time and stress, it also saved me money! I could not have gone to the grocery store for the amount of money I spent at HoneyBaked Ham.

HOney Baked Ham for Easter DinnerI bought the HoneyBaked Ham literally hours before dinner time. They suggest to leave the ham out for about 30-45 minutes before serving. I asked if I should heat it up and they said there was no need to. That drastically cut down any ‘cooking’ I had to do.Honey Baked Ham for Easter

Once I got home, I warmed up the mashed potatoes and macaroni & cheese. Within 30 minutes they were both ready.

Honey Baked Ham Easter SidesWe ate dinner and everything was perfect. The food was delicious and we had plenty for leftovers to eat on the next day. The night wouldn’t have been complete without dessert. Even though I’m not a huge ‘sweets’ person, I love to serve dessert. I was able to grab a coffee cake from HoneyBaked Ham and I picked up a few cupcakes at the grocery store.Easter Dessert IdeasEaster dinner was a complete success. Everybody who joined us left happy with full bellies. We had lots of leftovers for the next day and I didn’t have to cook a thing! I didn’t have a thing to stress about and it was magical.

I’ve got great news to share. HoneyBaked Ham is offering a coupon for you to make Easter simple and stress free. Easter and my birthday always meet, this year they are literally one day apart, so it’s always stress free as I don’t cook at all on my birthday weekend, friends and family will be taking me OUT! 🙂

I was super impressed with how quickly I was able to get all of my Honeybaked fixings too! I thought for sure I was going to have to call in an order, so I was super happy I could walk in, walk out, then have dinner on the table in under an hour!

I am from Jamaica originally and we eat fried fish for Easter. We also eat bun and cheese (buns are not the same as here in America, It is a loaf like bread but is sweet with raisins in it). We never have ham

All of your dishes look great. I grew up in OK while the rest of my family was in MI; where I am now. So, most times our holidays were very small. Sometimes a friend would come over. I’m not really in to hosting. My in laws are sooooo stressful. So, I just let them handle and deal with it.
