When people think of Fall, they think of heavier clothing- and heavier makeup. This Fall, though, makeup and beauty trends are more casual and are drawing from past decades to bring about some great looks. Here’s how to achieve some of the hottest looks for this Fall.
Going Basic and Bare
Let that little bit of sun-kissed glow that is radiating on your face shine through a bit longer and avoid makeup when and where you can. Have you checked out a BB or CC Cream? Many companies have them, and the kind you choose is up to you and your budget, but all of them bring a lightweight glow and even skin-tone appearance to your face. Pair this with a lightly-tinted lip gloss, nude eye shadow, and mascara. This will give your face a fresh look that isn’t weighted down with products, and it’s definitely the “in-look” for Fall.
Red Lips
Want to dress up that bare-faced look for evening? Red is in and it’s HOT! Pick your favorite shade and start sporting this retro-glam look for your next date night, or try a lighter red shade to make a subtle impact at the next office meeting.
The Eyes Have It
Smokey eyes, electric colors, metallic hues, nudes, layered looks- whatever it is you like, Fall is ready for it and there really are no rules this year. Have fun and allow your eye makeup to help you feel comfortable. Make them really pop by adding a dramatic sweep of eyeliner to the top lid and leaving it off the bottom. This will make your eyes look bigger and brighter.
Get Cheeky
Bronze colors are gone like those leaves in the wind as Fall asks for rosier cheeks to look like you’ve been touched by a cool gust of wind. When you do dress up those eyes, add a touch of rose-colored blush to your cheeks to make you look youthful and flirty.
Let Your Finger (nails) Do the Talking
Do you like dramatic fingernails? You’re in good company this Fall as that’s all the rage. Decorate them, adorn them with jewels, paint them all a different color each- whatever you do, don’t leave them bare and wanting for some TLC. And don’t stop at your nails! You may not be able to see your toenails in those super cute boots, but if you don a pair of open-toed or peep-toe shoes, your toenails will get some airtime. Make sure they look the part!
Something To Remember: Braided hair is fashionable for Fall and it’s dramatic. The more elaborate your braid, the better, and it looks great with these makeup tips. But what if you have short hair? You obviously won’t be able to pull of an elaborate braid, and this brings up the point that just because something is fashionable doesn’t mean it looks great on you. Pick and choose your beauty styles, like you do your eye shadow colors, and only pull out the tips that look the best for you and your personal style.
